YSL Top Secrets
YSL unabashedly claims that their fairly new Top Secrets skin care products are designed for makeup addicts. The company is betting that there are a lot of us! Here's an introduction to the five-product line.
Top Secrets Instant Eye Wake-up Patches ($52 for eight packets of two patches) could be your at-home eye spa when you want to add some radiance to your eyes. These ultra-fresh and transparent patches decongest and clarify, leaving the delicate eye area smooth. After a short rest with these under-eye patches in place, your fine lines should appear smoother, and the skin around your eyes should be left moisturized, clarified, and energized. Sounds good!
One clever Top Secrets product is the Sleep Restoring Skincare Palette ($69), a double-decker to treat your skin and lips overnight. The upper compartment of the palette contains a lip balm, and the lower compartment houses a facial cream. Both are designed to be hydrating and restorative. This would be good for travelers.
Dull or dry skin? The Top Secrets Flash Radiance Skincare Brush ($52), designed to be used before makeup, promises to perk you up in an instant! "A blend of energizing active ingredients combines the Grain of Paradise extract with caffeine to erase signs of fatigue. On the skin’s surface, light-reflecting micro-pigments capture and diffuse light to reduce skin imperfections and boost radiance. A seaweed-derived sugar forms a veil that maintains moisture on the surface of the skin and protects it against external threats. Wheat proteins, combined with sugar extracted from oats and a silcon elastomer, quickly smooth fine lines, leaving your skin feeling soft and velvety."
Want to learn more about adding radiance? You can see a YSL video at this link. YSL certainly has credibility in the radiance department, as any Touche Éclat wearer knows.
YSL has a remedy for gals with combo skin too. The Top Secrets Pore Refiner Skincare Brush ($52) promises to reduce the look of enlarged pores and banish shine, making your skin appear visibly smoother, more even, and ready for a flawless make-up application.
The Top Secrets Lip Re-plumping Concentrate ($39) is a smoothing lip balm concentrate designed to plump your lips and redefine the lips' contour to offer comfort, definition, and radiance. It's small, so it will fit perfectly into your makeup bag to moisturize and beautify your lips at any time of the day - with our without lipstick.
So, there you have it! Tempted? I am - by the Flash Radiance Brush. I'm headed over to Saks to see it. You can view these products at YSL's Web site, or you can visit your YSL counter at Saks, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, or Neiman Marcus to get a first-hand look.

What a coincidence...Pauls just sent a review of this today and she give it a no smiley face...I can't remember why, though. Genie
ReplyDeletePaula? As in the "Cosmetics Cop"? Interesting that I didn't receive her newsletter today, but I only get the free one.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on her. She hates some of my favorite, most effective products. Finally decided that her whole purpose in life is to sell her own products. If it doesn't have sunscreen in it, she pans it. My advice is to read her material, but judge for yourself.
Was that too catty?
