L'Absolu Crème de Brillance Lip Gloss
The beautiful Kate Winslet is the model for Lancôme's new L'Absolu Crème de Brillance Lip Gloss ($29), a gloss-lipstick hybrid in my book. This new gloss provides medium-to-full coverage - you can definitely wear it without lipstick underneath. It's highly pigmented and imparts a long-lasting and moist soft shine. If you like gleam without shimmer, this is your lip gloss! It's "juicy," but it's not Juicy Tubes.
Crème de Brillance is described as a "visibly replenishing and reshaping lip cream" with concentrated Pro-Xylane. Pro-Xylane is said to be the most complete and powerful anti-aging molecule from Lancôme research. It is a naturally derived ingredient from the beech wood plant that helps support the skin's structure, rebuilding suppleness.
Crème de Brillance is available in eight colors that fall into three color families. The brown/neutral shade is Amande Sucrée. The pinks/berries are Champagne, Berry Noir, Cherrywood Luxe, Exotic Orchid, and Blush Classique. The red/coral shades are Sienna Ultime and Rose Mythique.
I purchased Exotic Orchid (swatched top left), a divine pure pink, and Amande Sucrée (swatched bottom left). You can see how pigmented they are on my arm. Amande Sucrée is actually quite pretty with pink-toned lips underneath; it takes on a mauve cast. I love the doe-foot applicator.
L'Absolu Crème de Brillance is available at Lancôme.com and Lancôme Boutiques, Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus. There is free shipping on all orders at Lancome's Web site through midnight tonight, March 7.

Amanda Sucree is an old-time fave, I loved this shade in high school! Good to see it in the lip gloss form:)
ReplyDeleteExotic Orchid looks lovely.
I have always loved that shade too. Laurie. I would guess it's really popular since they used it for this new gloss. I think it's one of those shades nearly everyone can wear.
ReplyDeleteExotic Orchid has become a quick hit at my house!
