A rose from David Austin, English Rose breeder, specialist grower, and author. His reblooming roses are a welcome addition to my garden in the severe summer heat! Is this a clue to my love for rose fragrances?I've had a busy week. As I write this, I'm having a TGIF moment. I need the weekend to get organized and plan next week's Best Things in Beauty posts. It's predicted to be brutally hot this weekend, so staying cool inside might be a good plan. I'm sure I'll catch a nap or two; Jungle Boy (Charlie) will love curling up with me.

I was on of Babushka's Beauty Secrets book winners and just wanted to share my review. I loved this book because every single mask or treatments recommended is so easy to make and most of the ingredients i already have. While I knew and used some of the items already (cucumber for eyes, vinegar for hair) there were still quite a few other treatments I never tried. I loved that the writer also explained what each ingredient does and how it helps our skin or hair. It was a very enjoyable read and I will surely pick up some fruits and veggies and use them on my face :)
