Weekend Roundup - October 9

It was another exciting week for news of makeup, fragrance, and help for our hair and nails! What impressed our beauty blogging friends? Take our weekend tour and find out! Ever tried these products?

Gaia writes absolutely fabulous fragrance reviews (anyone remember the AbFab series?). We highly recommend her review of By Kilian's Pure Oud from the Arabian Nights Collection. Find out at The Non-Blonde if this could be your next fragrance purchase!

Every Chanel lip gloss lover has to read Sabrina's review of Pleasing, Charming, and Pink Pulsion from the Holiday 2010 Collection at The Beauty Look Book. Her swatches are fabulous.

Kari is sold on Dior's Minaudière from the Holiday 2010 Collection. Definitely go see it at Fab over Forty. Did you know that a minaudière is a woman's small handbag, often decorated with costly material and used for formal wear? What a great name for this darling new palette! You may want to grab one before it sells out.

Kelly really dove into hair products this year as she let her short hair grow out! Find out about a treatment that made a significant difference in the appearance and feel of her self-described "damaged hair" at Gouldylox Reviews.

Chelsea got her hands on the beautiful, very limited-edition Mary Kay Metro Chic Collection. See anything tempting at BeautyXposé? I know from the marketing statistics that a lot of you wear Mary Kay - got a rep?

Debbi at DivaDebbi has a new love: GoNails Natural Nail Growth Treatment. Find out how you can get a product to strengthen and repair your nails and cuticles, without formaldehyde or alcohol, and a 20% discount if you want to try it.

Lisa had a Le Métier de Beauté fall makeover at Neiman Marcus. Check out the products used and Marcia's and Lisa's first-ever instructional video at Beauty Info Zone Blog!

Everyone loves a drugstore steal, right? Laurie found one, the new Revlon Multi-Use Palette, part of the brand’s new Suede Rhapsody collection. You can see it, along with swatches, at Product Girl.

I got a sneak peek at Giorgio Armani Beauty's Gold Rush Collection for Holiday 2010. See the photos below here at Best Things in Beauty. Tim Quinn, Armani's dashing ambassador, says the compact is super-gorgeous. I also got the 411 directly from Tim on the holiday gift sets. You won't be able to part with the one that has three new creme-to-powder eye shadows.

There's a Best Things in Beauty giveaway contest ending tonight. If you enter by midnight, you'll have a chance to win Bobbi Brown's Brights Eye Palette.

Hope you have a great weekend! The weather here is predicted to be gorgeous. I'm looking forward to it.
