Katherine Heigl at the New Year's Eve Premiere
I don't think Katherine Heigl has ever looked prettier - and she's a gorgeous woman. Today, I turned on the television while I ate lunch and saw Access Hollywood Live as they featured the fabulous looks from last night's movie premiere.
What made her look? Her hair! She channeled old Hollywood glamour in her little black dress and stunning necklace. She was a beauty in a sea of beauties (Lea Michele, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Sophia Vergara are steep competition).
Her short hair was a mass of waves. It reminded me of the way Brandon Martinez had blown dry the back of my boring bob, turning it into an attention grabber.
Even with a toddler at home, which has to wear her out, she was radiant. I'd love to know who did her hair and makeup. If anyone heard those details, please share!
Update: I just saw the The Non-Blonde also loved Heigl's hair. Check out her feature!

I don't think she landed it, and I love both retro-styled and lady like styles. She's tried a look like this before, hasn't she?
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Jane! Normally, I don't track celebrity hair styles, but this one sure struck me as gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAgreed she looks great. I usually like the way she looks and think she understands well what suits her womanly beauty.

Nice thought, Lindaloo!
ReplyDeleteDo you ever feel like you should take a tweezer to Sofia's eyebrows? :) Katherine Heigl certainly does look beautiful, very womanly and what a gorgeous necklace!
ReplyDeleteMs. Heigl would have made a wonderful Marilyn.
ReplyDeleteShe's often done the wavy retro look in the past, but not as fluffy and insouciant as it is this time. Personally, I love it. If my hair could hold a curl, I'd be tempted to cut it so that I could do something similar. And, you know what else I like about this look? Her hair actually shines! All too often hairdressers use way too much product and the hapless star ends up with a head of beautifully sculpted, but totally lackluster, lifeless looking hair. I am so over greasy, piecey bangs; stringy, ropey curls; scraggly looking updos; and ratty, windblown ponytails. When going to a premiere, what's wrong with looking beautiful and glamourous? I think Katherine nailed it!
ReplyDeleteHi Sophia,
I agree with you. She has definitely captured that tousled, sexy look Marilyn often had.
Hey there, Evelyn...
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I've never paid any attention to her eyebrows. My eyes go straight to her curves. She seems like such a sweet girl too.
Oh Sophia, she would have! I hear Michelle Williams is brilliant in the role, though. I need to see that movie!
ReplyDeleteEileen,
ReplyDeleteMy hair is stick-straight, but others (not me) can make it curl and hold. It does take a lot of product. Even Brandon Martinez used a lot of product to curl mine when he blew it dry.
There are many shine products on the market now. Your observation would make me bet one of them was used.
Glad we have a few "historians" in the house. I never watched her TV show (well, maybe three or four times), so I haven't kept up with her.
I've always been a fan of her acting, and she looks just lovely here. I just read that she is on the cover of Elle next month, and from what I've seen in the previews her new movie looks like it will be a good one (the cast is full of big names). I have to admit, I enjoy watching the Grey's Anatomy reruns (and the new episodes too), and I definitely miss having her on the show but I respect that she left to be more involved with her family. She is beautiful! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see THAT cover! She will shine, I'm sure.
I wasn't "into" Gray's Anatomy. I saw it a few times (was it on late?). When I watched, I really liked it.
Yep, that star-filled movie has to be a box-office draw! I'll wait until it comes out on DVD and watch at home.
