Estée Lauder Signs Arizona Muse as a Global Face

Estée Lauder signed popular model Arizona Muse to be a new face for the brand. Described as one of fashion’s brightest stars, Muse will join Estée Lauder’s roster of high-profile models, which includes Elizabeth Hurley, Carolyn Murphy, Hilary Rhoda, Constance Jablonski, Liu Wen, and Joan Smalls.

Muse has been signed for skin care, makeup, and fragrance. We will probably see her with an elegant look in the advertising. “We see her in a very luxury way,” Richard Ferretti, Senior Vice President and Creative Director for Estée Lauder, told WWD. “She has the ability to go to that place.”

“Arizona has quickly become one of fashion’s most recognized faces - on the runway, in magazines and in fashion campaigns,” added Estée Lauder Style and Image Director, Aerin Lauder. “She has the timeless elegance that will make her a fashion and beauty icon of her generation. I am thrilled to welcome Arizona into the Estée Lauder family.”

Muse said she’s excited to work with Tom Pecheux, as well as shoot the skin care campaigns. “I especially love skin care. It is something that is the base of everything,” she said, adding, according to WWD, “that Lauder’s Re-Nutriv is a new favorite.

Muse’s rise in the fashion world has been extraordinary. Her portfolio includes striking images created by some of the industry's most influential fashion photographers, including Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, and Paolo Roversi, within 12 months of her first runway appearance. She has quickly landed high-profile fashion campaigns and worked with every influential fashion brand and magazine in the world.

Muse has appeared on the covers of Korean, Australian, French, Russian, and British Vogue. During the Spring 2012 couture shows in Paris, she walked the runway for Chanel, Giorgio Armani, and Christian Dior. Among her credits, Muse counts more than 30 runway shows in New York, Paris, and Milan for Fall 2012. She has also been featured in YSL Beauté advertisements.

  1. Hmm. I'm familiar with her name, although I can't remember her from anything right now. Based on the picture above alone, I think Estee's moving away from me, which is really frustrating since I've been an Estee Rah Rah Girl for 20 years! - J

  2. I absolutely LOVE Arizona Muse. She is such a chameleon and has a unique look!

PS: I just finished placing a second Sephora order to fully take advantage of the sale lol. Did you ever decide what your purchases were going to be?

  6. Believe it or not, Nemo, she was named after the state in which she was born. That leads me to wonder...

Were her parents unimaginative or cool?
Did they know she's be the only girl in school named Arizona?
Did they just like the name?
Were they on vacation when the baby came a bit too early?

    Who knows!

  7. Hi Charlestongirl and Nemo!
Her parents had just moved home to the desert when she arrived and they must have been overwhelmed... her English mother (a clinical therapist)and her American father (art dealer) loved her name...which you won't be surprised to hear she loathed when she was a child, so they called her Zoe...Now she says she has come love it...Anyway she is so gorgeous and talented, she can wear any name we'll find her delightful! She is well known in Europe where she works a lot since her family on her mother's side lives in Great Britain.

  8. I think Arizona is going to be THE model of her generation. She is truly unique and harkens back to the "Brooke Shields" days of modeling with her natural brows and full lips. I don't feel like Lauder is dumping us, just trying to enlarge their demographic!!
