Coming Attraction: Chanel Éclats du Soir de Chanel Holiday 2012 Collection

These aren't the greatest photos, but it's the best I could do in store and with store lighting. I took these photos from the Chanel Éclats du Soir de Chanel Holiday 2012 brochure. The collection, scheduled to ship to stores (our shores) on October 1, gives us all something to anticipate.

The Harmonie du Soir Quadra Eye Shadow palette ($65) offers shades of bronze gold, taupe, violet plum, and pink. I think it looks covet-worthy.

The shimmering soft pink Joues Contraste blush in Star Dust ($43) appears to be an absolute must-have. It's my kind of color.

The photo shows Rouge Allure Velvet ($32.50) luminous matte lip color in L'Impatiente - a shade that will be too dark for me. However, there will be a Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer ($29.50) in Allégorie, a sheer, shimmering pink that looks gorgeous.

An eye shadow duo in Nuit-Claire ($42) will offer shades of rosy beige and deep black. Even more exciting to me is Apparence ($36), a Long-Wear Luminous Eye Shadow in gold bronze.

The Ligne Graphique de Chanel ($34) liquid eyeliner will be introduced in Rouge Noir, a deep red black. I'm going to have to see that.

The deep black-red Les Vernis ($26) nail lacquer in Malice appears perfect for the holiday season. All of the products I've listed will be limited editions. The collection also features lovely re-promotes. I think there will be something for everyone.

Anything catch your eye?

  1. Oh!! Does that quad not remind you of the Topkapi quad? Not in terms of colors, but like it might have that same sublime texture?

  2. I can already say I will be wanting the nail polish & the blush!

  3. The gold and taupe color of the quad looks exactly like the ones in Tokapi quad, don't you think? The taupe color is my fav color in the Tokapi quad! I can't wait til get my hands on this quad! :D Thanks for the info! :)

  4. I definitely see the Topkapi resemblance, but I tend to gloat over my Topkapi quad more than wear it, so I'll have to check the finish of those shades. I'm definitely already in love with the blush. So few shades are really light enough for my fair skin. And I can't wait to see the nail polish!

    Thanks for posting this!

  5. Hi Katie from LovePassion,

They look a little different to me, but I won't really know until I see them in person. :)

  6. Hi M. Fay, I am so tempted by the Les Vernis. It's such a great red shade. I must have the blush!

  7. Hi Poppy,

I think it's OK to keep your little treasures in the makeup museum. Gloating is fine. :)

This one looks like it will be good for us pale faces.

  9. I'm extremely fair in skin tone much like you. I really want to try the Rouge Allure Velvet tapped on with a finger over some lip balm. I think it might work. Curious about the eye liner. That blush looks devine! And I'm completely lusting over the nail color! Considering I passed on everything in the fall collection, I'm really looking forward to this one.

  10. When my charming Chanel gal showed me the pictures and descriptions of Éclats de Soir a couple weeks ago, I just about drooled all over them! :-D Except for the lipstick, which is way too dark for me, these are my kind of colors. I can hardly wait to dip into Chanel's selection of wines, berries, and golds this holiday season. I've got my fingers crossed that the new quad has the same molten finish that Topkapi has, but even if it doesn't, it's going to be impossible for me to resist.

For those of you who saw Amy's post (Café Makeup) about the warm pearl pink Illusion D’Ombre Abstraction and high-shine metallic gold Illusion D’Ombres Vision, it's rumored that we'll be getting those in time for Holiday as well.

Holiday 2012 is going to be gorgeous. Start saving ladies :-)

  11. Hi Eileen,

I was offered the glance a few weeks ago, the day before the "big storm." I didn't know if Saks would have power, and even if they had, I would not have gone - all hot, sweaty, and gross. I finally made it there.

I've got other photos to show. Today, this one only. I need to pace my enthusiasm, or I might have a stroke. I get so excited about cool makeup. :)

  14. Hi Domestic Goddess!

That's a ship date, not a store date. Depending on where you are, it could take a few weeks for the pieces to arrive at your favorite Chanel counter.

  15. Hi Rosemary!

We are all saving up. :)

  16. Hi Tatiana,

If you need a stain, that would work. I think it's too dark for my tastes.

Gives us something to anticipate eagerly. :)

  18. Everything caught my eye! lol I'd agree with Maggie, that quad reminds me of Topkapi too. Which I should wear more often. :) Can't wait!

  19. Hi Evelyn,

Don't you think just having it is nice? :)

  20. hehee It's definitely nice to have but it has a taupe that is particularly smashing against my eyes so I should wear it. Ah well, let's see what this new quad is about!

  22. I must have the blush and eyeshadow.
The eyeliner sounds like it would be pretty as well. Thanks for the preview!

  23. The blush, glossimer & possibly the lipstick caught my eye! Like several have mentioned for those of us that are so fair - the lipstick may work lightly applied over a balm. The nail polish is gorgeous but I need another dark vampy berry/red polish like I need a hole in the head! : D

  24. Yes, the quad! The Topkapi quad is the only one I have and I love it!

  26. Hello!

The quad definitely caught my eyes. I use my Topkapi quad very sparingly because I'm afraid the gold and the taupes will run out. If the shades in this quad are similar, I'm definitely picking one up!

    Thanks for the post.
