My friend Diron, a Bobbi Brown manager there, who was helping me shop couldn't find the brown-toned shade of Vivid Shine I selected first (Spiced Cocoa), so I chose Poppy Love as my second choice. Even Diron remarked that it was a beautiful coral. I had proof that I wasn't selecting another vivid pink. You may laugh when you see my swatches. Maybe I turn lip colors pink.
Although Lipstick Luminizer looks bizarre, it magically changes the hue of a lipstick. You can layer it over lipstick to transform any shade. Gunmetal is supposed to turn colors deep, dark, and dramatic. The gold shade, Lamé, adds warmth and a golden finish. There's a third shade, Pearlescent, that lightens color with a pearly glow and adds a silvery finish.
Here are my swatch photos, with Poppy Love at the top of my arm and Gunmetal below. These photos were taken in full sun. Poppy Love (that pretty "coral") is pink! Now I have three vivid pinks. I need a sanity test. As you can see, Gunmetal is silvery grey, a deathly shade when used alone.
Now, look below, and you'll see what Gunmetal Luminizer did to Poppy Love. It made it mauve, adding a plum cast. Pfew! Poppy Love became a different lipstick when I applied Gunmetal over it. Even if this isn't a new idea, I love it.
I purchased these two Vivid Shine shades at Nordstrom. Neiman Marcus has received them too. I have not found Vivid Shine at the Estée Lauder Web site yet, but you can see these new lipsticks at Nordstrom's Web site. They are definitely worth your attention. It's a good thing I love pink.

I LOVE the color it turned after you used the gunmetal luminizer on it! That's awesome :)
