Coming Attraction: Chanel Les Delices de Chanel for Spring 2013

Reader Nemo asked a question about Les Delices de Chanel, which was an Asia exclusive, but now, I've learned, will be shipped to Saks Fifth Avenue Chanel counters on May 6.

There are some stunning pieces within the collection. The eye palette, the limited-edition Ombres Fleuries Délicatesse, contains light green, white, pink, and purple shades.

There are two Rouge Coco Shines: the limited-edition Peach Sugar and Delicious Pink. These may be renamed for the U.S., and I cannot see from this display photo whether we will receive both in this country.

It's also a bit hard to see in this display photo whether we will get the limited-edition Joues Contraste Powder Blush (Fards à Joues Poudre) in Fun, a shiny white with a pearl luster. That may have been developed only for the Asian market.

What I can see are the two Aqualumière Lip Glosses. The colors are Dessert, a bright pink metallic shade, and the limited-edition French Toffee - a gold copper I know I'll want.

It does appear that we will see the Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner in Purple Berry (limited-edition) and a limited-edition Illusion d'Ombre Eyeshadow in Eager, a gold beige with a pearl luster finish.

I am still collecting information about this collection from my local Chanel representatives. Bless them for the photos! As I get more information, I will add it to this feature.

  1. I remember writing about this collection a year ago when it was Asia exclusive. The eyeshadow quad looks wonderful. :)

  2. Hi Tavia,

Nice to hear from you. Yes, I remember you wrote about it too. It was an Asia exclusive, and we were so jealous. I don't think we are getting the whole collection, but I should know by the end of today.

Did you ever see any of it in person? If not, perhaps I can shop for you when it hits our counters?

  3. Do you know if Canada will receive this too?

  4. I don't, Evo, but I can add that to my questions. Do you have Saks there? Will Saks ship to you?

  5. Oh, thank you for checking on this. I want it all, if only for the names alone. Fun? Who could NOT want something named Fun??!! We all need something like this to look forward to and to dream about on our pillows at night, don't we?

  6. Thanks so much for this. I just called my Saks and did a pre order. My counter didn't even get any brochures but at least they knew what I was talking about. I can't wait to see it.

  7. This is interesting news. If Saks is getting this year's Le Blanc collection in May; what will Nordstrom do for their anniversary sale in July? I'll have to do a bit of sleuthing and see what's on the horizon :-) I've always adored the Le Blanc collections and usually purchase most of the items. What I like about them is that they're small, well edited, and revolve around a simple color scheme. They're little jewels. And, with Saks getting the collection in early May, this set of early spring colors will actually be available to us in spring! What a concept! LOL

I'm also looking forward to the release of Chanel's fall Superstition collection which is featuring a selection of---deep breaths---six cream blushes! (Thanks for the heads up on that bit of news, Tavia.) Chanel has some steep competition, but there's always room for another gorgeous and well formulated cream blush---at least in my stash there is! :-)

  8. Saks does ship to Canada at a price.

The only "high end" department store here is Holt Renfrew.

  9. Now I wonder if there is a second exclusive CHANEL on the horizon. My friend insists there is an exclusive CHANEL ROUND eye quad pan coming to Saks. Also, it looks like the Les Delices is going to be at Nordstrom's, too.

  10. The colours look very pretty. Not sure if they will even show up on my tan skin but I'll check them out when I go to Hong Kong in may.

  13. Ooooo, that shiny white blush could be an interesting highlighter, no?? And a purple-berry liner sounds beautiful. Can't wait to see what the U.S. collections holds! Thanks CG for your detective work. Denise at aeiokid at comcast dot net.

  14. Hi Nemo,

I'd rather dream about makeup than some of the crazy things that my brain imagines. :)

  15. Hi Anahita,

I plan to pre-order too. I will order from Giorgia and Loyd and Saks Chevy.

  16. Hi Eileen,

I am anxiously awaiting photos from Chanel for fall. They always think I'm jumping in front of the line. :)

I have absolutely no idea what Nordies will do. You can bet it will be something exciting. :)

  17. Nemo, I need to hire a few of you as sleuths. I just can't read every blog out there to keep up!

  18. Hi Dollie,

    I hope that's a faux tan!

    1. Nope, I don't need fake tan. Nature has given me medium tan skin tone.

  19. Hi adlibALH. I don't know - yet. Best thing to do would be to call your fave NM counter.

  20. Hi Denise,

Thanks! I've still got more sleuthing to do. :)

  21. I can't take credit for all of it, haha. My dentist's wife is a makeup lover too, specifically CHANEL. She loves the new CHANEL boutique at the Saks in Troy, Michigan. That's where she learned about the round eye quad coming exclusively to Saks. A thought occurred to me: did they mean round container or simply round pans of color, which would indicate the European style. She also said they are very excited at Saks CHANEL about the upcoming fall collection, lots of teal. I don't care--I'll buy anything CHANEL.

  22. EVO: Holt Renfrew would be the place that we'd get it, if we do at all. Give them a call.

I second what Nemo said: I buy anything and everything with those interlocking Cs.

I need teal for fall ... This has made me ready to skip summer (since spring does not seem to be coming this year).

  23. P.S. Saks on-line does ship to Canada, but will not, from what I have seen, send Chanel. Maybe if a store were called directly, an exception could be made?

  24. Eileen, I LOVE YOU!!!! I had no idea about Chanel's cream blushes. I was JUST telling my Chanel SA that I wish they would do a cream/gel blush...and VOILA!
    Can. Not. Wait!

CharlestonGirl, THANK you for finding out about this collection! I just did a pre-order for the pieces I want. Definitely the aqualumiere glosses & the eyeliner. Must see the other pieces first. The "fun" blush is white? Maybe that will help tone down my rosacea....HA!
Can't wait for everything to get here!!!!

  27. Saks is getting Delicatesse, Convoitise, Purple Berry Stylo Yeux, Gourmandise Rouge Coco Shine, Friandise and French Toffee Aqualumiere Glosses. Delice is Chanel.com exclusive.

  28. That's funny, Soni. The FB culture!

  29. Hi Nemo,

The quad has round pans consistant with the Asian/European versions. They have a pretty embossed flower pattern on them--camellias, I think. It's a pretty palette. One of my friends bought it when she was in Japan. The way you've described your coloring, I can't help but think how lovely the colors will look on you. You can see some great swatches of it on Kaisobessions.com. Just type Chanel Delicatesse in "Search" and it will take you to the post.

  30. Very pretty, Want the eyeshadow and eyeliner. Makeup and chocolate and I'm happy!

  31. Oooohhh nooooo more temptation. I love Chanel.

to EVO who posted above. Your best bet for Chanel would be to contact Holt Renfrew and ask if they will be receiving this collection. Other than that, perhaps The Bay. Good luck!

  32. So these will be also available at Nordstrom and Chanel.com?
    Thanks for the intel :)

  33. Hi Nemo,

Me again :-P You mentioned lots of teal. Were you perhaps thinking of Chanel's quad Fascination? It's the European round pans and was released in Canada in March. It's gorgeous! I'd love to see it released here. I wonder if that was the other round pan quad your contact was talking about. Anyway, you can google it. There are lots of pictures and swatches of it on-line.

  34. I never got the chance to see it in person. Unfortunately I live in a country were most brands I write about are not even available, not to mention the collections came on the counters months later than US or Japan, and sometimes they don't come at all. The only way possible to see most collections in person is when I travel abroad. I would love to see the products on your blog when you'll buy them. I'm also living through your blog sometimes and enjoying the reviews & swatches. :)

  35. I ordered it through a friend from Taiwan, it was a CP a friend of hers had offered :>
