Guerlain Terracotta Collection for Summer 2014

Can you believe that Guerlain's Summer 2014 Terracotta Collection has arrived at the Guerlain Boutique in Las Vegas? Here is my first look - one I used to order. These cell phone photos were all I needed to select my new Guerlain treasures.

The bronzing powders shown above are re-promotes, as are the Shine Automatique lip shades. I ordered the two lip shades I don't already have, along with the tinted foundation shown on the left of the display. I'll have more information for you soon.

Guerlain is also returning three loose powders: Les Violettes. Clair (#2) looked perfect for me, so it's on the way too. Guerlain's long-standing love affair with powders goes back 180 years and continued with the magical Les Violettes Powder when first introduced. This powder is infused with minerals to fortify an invisible and flawless look. Marvelously fine and exceptionally transparent, the powder mattifies and sets makeup without ever caking. The sensual, velvety finish and exquisite signature violet fragrance have garnered a loyal following among consumers. Never before has the ability to remove shine and even out the complexion been so subtle and comfortable.

Wish to order now? Give Jonathan at call at (702) 732-7008. He is wonderful; I know you will love him. Talk to him about the new Aqua Allegoria too. Don't forget, they are open late.

  2. Guerlain has always released their justifiably famous Terracotta collection ahead of their summer color story. It's as if Guerlain wants us all to be beautifully bronzed gods and goddesses--or at least, sun-kissed--before presenting us with their summer color story :-)

With this year's Terracotta collection, it looks like they've jumped on the "bonne mine" bandwagon with their new Jolie Teint Terracotta Foundation. And, it comes in 5 shades--Clair to Ebony--so Guerlain is definitely appealing to a wider range of complexions this time around. Last year's BB cream was insanely popular but only came in two colors so a lot of people were left out.

Seeing as Jolie Teint comes in a tube and has a pump dispenser, it will certainly be handy for travel. The SPF 20 is also a nice touch. I can easily imagine someone tossing Jolie Teint in a beach bag or travel case.

  3. I read your blog faithfully but rarely have time to comment, but I am excited for the news of the Violette powders in loose form. I recently got the pressed powder and it blows away any other brand I have tried....and it's a gorgeous compact. Can't wait to try the loose. Thanks for all your detail you give us!

  4. I purchased the loose Violette powder from Neiman's. I currently use the pressed form and love it. The container for the loose powder is gold and gorgeous and gargantuan! The powder is the most finely milled I have ever used. Stunning.... and I am so happy you told us about it. The bronzers were not as exciting to me because they were a little too orange for my medium toned skin. Again, love your blog news!!
