Preliminary Photos of Tom Ford Beauty Testers for Fall 2014

I was lucky to receive photos of Tom Ford testers from Adila, my lovely Tom Ford representative at Neiman Marcus, Tysons Galleria. They are a little dark - probably taken by a cell phone. Nevertheless, knowing your interest in Tom Ford, I thought I'd better share them.

The top photo shows the new Contouring Cheek Color Duos ($77) in Softcore and Stroked, along with the eye palette we all want: Nude Dip ($79).

Her swatch photo of Nude Dip is shown directly above.

Two new Private Blend Lip Colors ($50) in Negligee and Twist of Fate are easy to identify. Adila put them in front of their boxes. She sent a great swatch photo of the shades.

If it's sunny, I'll be going over to see the testers in person either tomorrow or Saturday. Until then, I hope you enjoy these photos.

  1. Ahhhh I want the quad so bad.

  2. The quad is pretty. It looks similar to some of the recent Chanel quads. I really like the coral/ginger lipstick. Thanks for sharing these with us.

  3. Negligee is so pretty! I'm worried it would be too dark for me though. I do wish I could test it in-person. I'll have to wait for more swatches to appear.

  4. There's a whole lot of shimmer going on with this warm and neutral Nude Dip, but it is easy enough to anchor with a matte shade so I'm not worried about it. I frequently incorporate a neutral matte when using a shimmery palette. I understand the texture, pigmentation, and longevity of Nude Dip is superlative so I'm really excited to receive mine. Being a huge TF fan, I did not hesitate to pre-order it :-)

  5. Hi CGirl,

I'm also waiting to test Negligee for myself, but in the meantime, Christine at Temptalia has lip swatches of both the new colors. When it comes to TF classic lipstick formula, I always try before I buy. They are so rich and opaque, there's no margin for error--especially at $50 a pop!

  6. Thank you CG for the wonderful swatches. I am really looking forward to an eyeshadows, lip color in Negligee and Blush in Softcore... almost forgot:0), nail polish too. What would be your choices? Have a wonderful rest of the day!

  7. Cannot wait for Nude Dip - I am haunting my local counter - and to see if my all time favourite palette (Enchanted) will be superseded! Also looking forward to the Black Cherry Nail polish. Susan, London

  8. Today I pre- ordered from Beautylish the Magic Cream by makeup artist Charlotte Tillbury. The reviews have been very good and it is compared to my favorite LaMer. It is $95 for a jar. I'll let you know what it's like when it ships Sept. 15

  9. Dear CG,
Thank you so much for those photos. Ever since I saw the first photos of the collection, I am contemplaiting how much of it I can justify to buy and how much I would regret not buying something I not sure about (like the two lipsticks) - I hope this makes sense. I know I want the eyeshadow and (both, sigh) blushes, oh and of course the nail polish. Now after seeing the lipstick swatches in your post, I can't help but think, maybe I need both lipsticks, too. The problem is that I truly love the beauty products from Tom Ford :-)
I am curious, what you have on your wishlist :-)
Many greetings from Germany and a good night!
    xoxo Stephanie

  10. I'm eagerly awaiting a call from my TF SA at Neiman's but for anyone who has to buy online the collection is available now at the Tom Ford website. There are two gorgeous cosmetic bags that I believe are exclusive to his website. They are stunning and rich looking and very pricey.

  11. I want my own swatches, everyone. I don't go surfing. I can wait a day. I hear Bergdorf Goodman has it in store.

I don't want either lipstick. They are way too opaque and dark for my tastes.

  12. Wow, these are all gorgeous. Love the genius that is Tom Ford. Thank you for the incredible pics and swatches.

  13. Nude Dip is calling to me! I think it would be a great first Tom Ford eye shadow palette for me (especially since I love shimmer).

  14. I am not impressed in this collection. Chanel had the same color lipsticks awhile back. The eyeshadow, save yourself 18.00 and purchase the Chanel new quad in the browns. The increase in price is insane. Hopefully customers will get off the TF bus and figure out it is really just Estee Lauder on steroids. Plus his web site does not accept returns, of any type. His summer collection was less then wonderful, now this??? The ole days of Black Orchid lipstick would be nice for Mr. Ford to recall. When he did not just phone it in.....Only time will tell if his Holiday Collection is any better.

  16. I can't wait until you post your own swatches. Who is taking pre-orders? How would you compare the quality of the Rouge Bunny Rouge palette to Tom Ford's?

  17. The swatches of Negligee on your site and on Temptalia's site are so different...I am definitely not ordering! If I get a chance, I'll check it out in person...

  18. Bisbee, until I see it in person, I really can't comment on the swatches.

  19. The only item I ordered is Nude Dip. As Eileen said, I've read reviews and seen pictures that make it seem overtly shimmery, but there is always the option of adding in another shadow to "tone" it down a bit. I've found the quality of his products just seem to get better and better with each release. This is one palette I did not want to miss. It is selling out astonishingly fast.

To Anonymous at 9:57 - the Tom Ford website does accept returns. I thought it did before I read your comment, and just went back to double check. It is essentially the same as Neiman Marcus' return policy. You have fourteen days and the item must be unused, unworn, in original condition. I hope this helps.

  20. The colors of both lipsticks look gorgeous.

  21. Thanks so much for sharing, it's always fun to get a sneak peak! :-)
