Dior Illuminating Lace-Effect Powder for Spring 2010

Dior Illuminating Lace-Effect Powder (Poudrier Dentelle Effet Lumiere Visage) for Spring 2010 ($55) is one of my recent purchases. Remember I had a beauty trip to Saks last week? I "exercised some restraint" when I saw the spring collection; I only bought four pieces. :)

The powder in shade 001, Pink Lace, is packaged in Dior's signature black felt case holding a silver-toned magnetic compact that is etched with a lace pattern. It's heavy too! Inside the mirrored compact is a shimmering light peach-toned pink illuminating powder for the face, neck, and décolleté.

Inspired by the soft, feminine lace of the 1920’s, the Dior Lace Color Collection features shades that will flatter every woman. From lace-embossed powders and eyeshadows to rose-colored lips, Dior's face of spring is elegant and pretty!

This powder was such an instant hit, it was selling out at Saks. Why do department stores initially order so few units of items that are bound to be coveted? Fortunately, it's available wherever Dior cosmetics are sold, including Saks, Sephora, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale's.

If you are looking for a pearly sheen, you might love the Lace-Effect Powder!

  2. Me too! If you look at the various Web sites, the color of this item appears radically different. Some of the photos are way too pink. This is the truest one I found. I think its universal highlighting color (except for possibly the darkest skin) is one reason it's so popular.
