Tarte emphasEYES Set of Three Smoldering Amazonian Clay Eyeliners

Tarte's emphasEYES Smoldering Amazonian Clay Eyeliner Trio ($38.18, a special-offer price) is designed to make your eyes the center of attention. Infused with skin-balancing Amazonian white clay, these liners glide on like butter to create smoldering eyes.

The Amazon River flows for 4,000 miles, and as it flows it collects highly nutritious plant and fruit matter. Amazonian clay is extracted from the banks of the Amazon River where the nutrients are at their highest concentration. As one of nature's super-ingredients, Amazonian clay has been known to:
  • remove surface oil to mattify skin;
  • nourish all skin types;
  • reduce the appearance of dryness and flakiness;
  • give skin a smooth and even appearance;
  • improve skin clarity and texture; and
  • hydrate dry skin.
This set of trendy, eye-intensifying eyeliners includes Smoldering Plum, Smoldering Bronze, and Smoldering Charcoal. That's the order in which they are shown on my arm, top to bottom. My photo was taken in full sun. The liners will appear a little darker on your eyelids - unless you are out in full sun. I love all three shades, but I am especially taken with Smoldering Charcoal. It isn't black-black, making it easy for me to wear. Smoldering Bronze looks fabulous with antique gold or bronze shadows - perfect for fall!

Each liner has a smudge brush on one end - perfect for creating fall's smoky eye. Because the liners aren't reed thin, you can use them as dramatic shadows as well as liners. However you apply them, you'll find they have serious staying power. If you want to smudge them, do it quickly before the color sets. Your eye liner will last all day and all night.

Tarte creator Maureen Kelly set out to create a line that proves glamour can be good for you. She pioneered the use of high-performance naturals - ground-breaking ecotechnology that delivers clinically proven results using natural ingredients. From the proprietary t5 super fruit complex found in their iconic Natural Cheek Stains to the skin-replenishing benefits of Amazonian clay, "nature's most perfect ingredient," found in the Amazonian clay-infused products, Tarte is a leader in natural beauty. These eye pencils are as noteworthy for what they don't have as what they do have in their formula: no parabens, phthalates, sulfates, petrochemicals, preservatives, or synthetic fragrance.

  1. I didn't know that these were also long-lasting or they probably would have made it to my "wish list" long ago!!

  2. Mama Val, you can't wipe them off with a tissue. It takes serious eye makeup remover to get them off. Given the special offer, now's the time to order!
