Weekend Roundup - October 2
It's hard to believe that October has arrived! Even though you may not be excited about putting on an extra layer of clothing, all the fall beauty will rev you! We have many new and wonderful products to share with you this week.
Being healthy on the inside shows on the outside. Kari from Fab Over Forty spent the last week at the spa resort Rancho La Puerta. She shared with us the memorable experiences she had. Head over to read one. Then visit her home page and scroll to see the rest.
Taking care of our skin is so important, but finding the right products can be difficult. Kelly from Gouldylox Reviews has been testing products from YBF. She couldn't wait to share the "shocking" results she experienced with Prep microdermabrasion. We think she likes it.
Speaking of skin care, Debbi has also been testing a product she loves. Read about the easy-to-use Cane+Austin Retexturizing Pads at DivaDebbi.
Gaia, The Non-Blonde, shared a fall favorite from Laura Mercier and exclusive to Saks: a take-it-with-you palette in a beautiful case, complete with a great set of mini-brushes. I was also intrigued by her post on Vero Profumo's fragrances. I just ordered a sample pack from LuckyScent with a few of them. Can't wait to sniff! Gaia's review heightened my anticipation.
Even though it's only the first weekend in October, holiday beauty is trickling into the stores. Sabrina at The Beauty Look Book showed us her first buy of the holiday season: a Bobbi Brown palette. The shadows in the palette she purchased at Nordstrom are drop-dead gorgeous! I will be sharing the extensive late fall/holiday photos with you over the next few days. I think there is something for everyone in Bobbi's new collections. Make sure to visit The Beauty Look Book to see Sabrina's swatches.
We can all have bad hair days. If you are a curly girl, check out what the gals at BeautyXposé have tested for you. It's possible you could banish bad hair days forever!
Using skin care from natural and/or botanical ingredients is really important to many of us. Marcia at Beauty Info Zone Blog has been sampling products from Juara Skincare. This line could change the way you think about your routine.
Victoria has been busy creating videos. Check out the third in her series of Flawless Faces for all Races at Makeup Artist Backstage. Her pro techniques will be easy for you to replicate. You'll look like a million bucks.
Eyelashes have been all the rage this year, from new mascaras to treatment products. Laurie tried a new mascara that is leaving her coworkers wondering if they're real or "enhanced"! Head over to Product Girl, where she revealed the source of her "wow" lashes. I agree. I haven't posted my review, but I'm sold too.
I have a new beauty brand obsession. Everyone should have Le Métier de Beauté at reach. Scroll down, and you will find more than a few features on the line's stunning offerings.
Stay beautiful everyone - and warm! I just turned on the heater for a little blast of comfort. Later, I'm going to go scouting for new makeup.
