Rouge Bunny Rouge Succulence of Dew Sheer Lipstick - Dark Juices and Fluttering Sighs
What better way to continue my Rouge Bunny Rouge voyage than with more lipstick? During one of my first online shopping forays at Zuneta, I saw that Rouge Bunny Rouge offered eight lipstick shades in a sheer formula. I love sheer lip colors. I had a dilemma. Buy one or all eight? I decided to buy one, try it out, and then order more. That rational process resulted in another order. The last time I ordered, I purchased Dark Juices and Fluttering Sighs. I tried to order Tongue Tickles, but it was out of stock that week. Must be gorgeous! I made a mental note to try again next time.
Succulence of Dew Sheer Lipstick ($32.57) has all the qualities of my other new Rouge Bunny Rouge makeup beauties: whimsical packaging, lust-worthy color, and a story. The first shade I had ordered was Dissolved in Dreams. You can see it at this link. That's where you can also read the enchanting tale about these "soft, diaphanous colors that hover on your lips so finely that they enhance and refine your naturalness into a graceful glamour."
My two new sheer lipsticks are shown in the tubes above, with Dark Juices at left and Fluttering Sighs at right. Dark Juices is described at Zuneta as a shiny, sheer blue-toned plum, shimmering with silver. That's a perfect description. Fluttering Sighs is described as a sheer, shiny tea rose warmed with a gold shimmer. Don't let the "tea rose" lead you to think it's a pure rose or pink shade. I think it's a peachy pink hybrid - definitely warm in tone.
Check out these swatch photos and see what you think. I tried to take them at different angles to the sun to show these gorgeous shades with all of their nuances. Fluttering Sighs applied a bit too heavily below Dark Juices. It was so hot out when I took these photos, the tube started to soften in the sun! It was one of those "cook a lipstick on the walk" days.
Dark Juices offers more shimmer than Fluttering Sighs. I fell in love with it instantly. It's in my "utterly perfect" color range. Plum shades are flattering - for me and many women. They work year-round, depending on their intensity. I've been wearing Dark Juices all week. The shimmer gleams, but not in a flashy, metallic way. It's perfect.
Fluttering Sighs has less shimmer, although my full sun photos show how beautifully it reflects light. The color is scrumptious - no other way to describe it. There's a lot of peach in the rose - at least on my skin. I think Fluttering Sighs is one of those color straddlers that will work on both cool and warm skins.
These sheer lipsticks adhere nicely, providing good wear and flattering color. Tongue Tickles is definitely next on my list. There's so much to love. At the rate I'm going, I'll own every Succulence of Dew shade before the year's out.
You can purchase Rouge Bunny Rouge at Zuneta. They offer free international shipping with orders over £65. I never have any trouble achieving the free shipping level. If anything, I have to restrain myself from ordering one of everything.

I've been wanting Fluttering Sighs for a while! It's always out of stock when I check though :-( Like you I imagin I will end up with all of them eventually ;-)
ReplyDeleteA total addict, like me! With sheers, we can wear so many shades that might be a little "too" with other formulas. These stay on me too! Better than most.
ReplyDeleteYes, Fluttering Sighs is so incredibly pretty. My lips are quite dark naturally, I wonder if this would not be too sheer to display this beautiful colour.
ReplyDeleteFluttering Sighs does seem to be one of the most popular shades, I keep meaning to get that one, RBR is one of my favourite brands they just never seem to disappoint.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful colors! Luckily, I can limit myself with sheer colors...it's the more vibrant, opaque ones that really get me! But these are truly something to behold.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to check out Zuneta now that I know about the free shipping! Thanks for letting me know!
Shannon
I've been waiting patiently to see if there was more to your order. Dark juices looks gorgeous. I have Dissolved Dreams on my "next" list. On a techie note - if you have a Microsoft application called One Note, try using to organize your orders! I have a tab for each brand and organize each one by what I already have, what I like and don't like based on swatches I've seen, and then what my next few orders will be. I don't lose track of everything.
ReplyDeleteHi Replica,
ReplyDeleteI have been absolutely thrilled with everything I've ordered sight unseen. Between Zuneta's descriptions and their customer service/advice, I can't go wrong. :)
Hi Shannon, try one next time you order. There is one darker one, Murmurings, you might like.
ReplyDeleteOne more thing, MickiD,
ReplyDeleteTomorrow! :)
