Beauty Bloggers Charity Auction
The second annual charity auction by BeautyBloggers.org will commence Monday, November 28. The auction is a collaborative effort by more than 50 beauty blogs and companies, including Best Things in Beauty.
The participating bloggers and brands donated the items, plus the cost of shipping, for the auction. All the proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971. Today, MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières) provides independent, impartial assistance in more than 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe - primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need. MSF also speaks out to bring attention to neglected crises, challenge inadequacies, or abuse of the aid system and to advocate for improved medical treatments and protocols. In 1999, MSF received the Nobel Peace Prize.
Some of this year's auction items include a complete set of Le Métier de Beauté skin care ($1,135, donated by Le Métier de Beauté), the complete NARS Holiday Collection ($295, donated by NARS), and Giorgio Armani Beauty's Madre Perla palettes ($98, donated by Giorgio Armani Beauty, and $59, donated by Best Things in Beauty). The selections are stunning!
The auction starts on Monday, November 28, at 8:00 am CST and ends on December 12 at 5:00 pm CST. Until next Monday, you can browse, register, and bookmark your favorite items. When the auction ends, winning bidders will make their contributions directly to Doctors Without Borders, using a secure giving page.
Will you help? Please bid with abandon! It's for a great cause. More later. I wanted to alert you so that you can be prepared. I always like to pour over auction catalogs in advance.

I love comments, but please do not insert hyperlinks or direct references to your or any other Web site. Those will be deleted. The comment feature is not intended to provide an advertising venue for another blog or your commercial site. Additionally, off-topic comments will be deleted at my discretion. I will NOT publish comments critical of me or other readers. I don't write this blog to argue, but rather to come together to enjoy our shared love of beauty products.
I am moderating comments. If there is a delay in publishing, please forgive the delay and know that I will get to comments and publish those germane to the feature where they are left.
Note: Only a member of this blog may post a comment.
Such a wonderful concept. I shall follow the auctions with interest.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, are you aware that Neiman Marcus has heeded your crusade? Le Metier de Beaute Artemis is available again as a $250 GWP.
Leigh,
ReplyDeleteLMdB brought back Artemis for a prior GWP a few months ago, but I didn't know it was brought out a second time. Cool! Where?

ReplyDeleteWow I will definitely bid on a few items ;) Thanks for letting us know, it makes me feel better about being a makeup addict when I help others with my makeup shopping!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Leigh!
ReplyDeleteHi Girl's Guide, I hope the bidding is fierce! I'll bid, but I doubt I'll win with my conservative maximums.
