Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's my Valentine's Day association...chocolate. Don't these decorative chocolate-covered strawberries look delectable?

Happy Valentine's Day! Whether your fix comes from flowers, sweets, perfume, or makeup (gasp!), celebrate love!

  1. Happy Valentine's Day to you too! I...well...gave myself a Valentine's Day gift after wandering into Sephora last night. lol I was very much cheered up when I finally made it home and opened up my goodies! I'm kind of thinking I should have bought some chocolate covered strawberries too. :)

  2. Happy Valentine's Day, Evelyn! What a treat! I'd much rather have a Sephora treat than all the things traditionally associated with Valentine's Day...except I started craving chocolate-dipped strawberries after I posted that photo this morning.

It will be leftover Chinese for me today, but I think I can break into a tin of candy someone gave me at Christmas if the cravings continue.

  3. Whether you consider it a special day for lovers, a day for people you love, or just a silly day to spread a bit of cheer amongst friends and co-workers, I always enjoy Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day to all <3

  4. Happy Valentine Day to all! Here it's more a commercial thing than anything else...I felt like having chocolate too, so I bought a lovely chocolate cake (though I don't need Valentine Day to indulge chocolate, I'm a chocolate addict:-)

  5. Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Those strawberries look yummy. I treated myself to my first order from Zuneta of the Rouge Bunny Rouge
foundation and primer. Got confirmation it has already shipped.
Also will order from Saks, Beauty Week starts Thurs.

  6. Hi Eileen,

I've believed for a long time that Valentine's Day was originally promoted as a goldmine for florists. Maybe it still is, but it's a fun occasion to remind people you love them. You can bet I hustled over to Mom's today with wine, candy, and cupcakes. :)

  7. Hi Clarisse!

There are worse addictions. I am addicted to Fran's Gray Salt Caramels. I could eat two/day, but they are too expensive for such an indulgence!

  8. Hey there, Mary Ann,

Speaking of addictions, get ready to be addicted to RBR. It happens to all of us, so you will be in good company. :)

Thanks for the Saks reminder! Can you believe no one at Saks reminded me of their beauty event? Geez...it's not like I don't spend plenty of money there. I need to call to pre-order tomorrow.

  9. Happy Valentine's Day, Charleston Girl! I also love Fran's Gray Salt Caramels. Have you found them here? I've only seen them in Seattle.

Are the number of beauty events increasing???

  10. Happy Valentine's to you! I need to share my own photo of the cutest heart chocolate you'll ever see, from Zoe's Chocolate.

I also celebrated the day by taking Chanel Distraction to the salon. It's such a gorgeous saturated coral; you have to see the swatches to believe it. The shade probably is too strong for your taste, but it lifts me right out of winter. I would call it more of a resort color than a spring color. Now I must get the matching lip gloss, Amour.
