SPACE.NK.apothecary Tysons Corner Center Special for Best Things in Beauty Readers

SPACE.NK is an innovative and aspirational, yet accessible, beauty boutique that offers an edited selection of prestige beauty brands from around the world. We are very lucky in the DC area. We gained a SPACE.NK boutique at Bloomingdale's at Tysons Corner Center last year. Now, we can share the joy formerly limited to Manhattan, Los Angeles, and 18 other United States locations.

What can you find at our local SPACE.NK? Here's just a sample of the brands offered.
  • Laughter fragrance
  • Laura Mercier cosmetics
  • Eve Lom skin care
  • Diptyque Paris home and personal fragrances - and some of the nicest candles you'll ever find
  • BY TERRY makeup and skin care
  • Lipstick Queen
  • Ellis Faas
  • Hourglass
  • Nuxe
  • Philip B hair care
  • Kevin Aucoin
I love visiting our boutique, which has generously offered Best Things in Beauty readers a special gift. During Bloomingdale's beauty event, April 17-29, Best Things in Beauty readers will receive a deluxe Nuxe gift - a mask, toner, and mini body oil - with any purchase over $75 from the Tysons Corner SPACE.NK only. The gift for BTiB readers will be offered in addition to the regular Bloomindale's gifts with purchase during the event. In order to receive the gift, you must mention Best Things in Beauty to your sales assistant.

Not local to the DC area? No problem. SPACE.NK will provide free shipping for your purchases if you mention the blog. Just call the boutique at 703-556-4569.

  2. Wow, I missed the Ellis Faas when I was the Tysons store this weekend!

    How's your mom doing?

  3. Ava, I don't think they have it at Tysons. Ask Camille if she can order it for you.

Thanks for asking about Mom. She is still in the hospital. Her problems have been isolated to a raging UTI and kidneys that aren't processing sodium chloride properly (i.e., dumping it). They are pumping her with Lasix to remove the edema in her body, adding sodium chloride - more than usual, and restricting her fluids. Nephrologist thinks she has 20 or more pounds of fluid in her - that she should weigh 110. That's hilarious. Mom probably hasn't weighted 110 since she was 12. He says to me, "Well, how much to you weigh?" I said 103. He was like case closed. Good grief! I inherited my father's bone structure.

I noticed yesterday her wicked sense of humor started to return. Her own doctor called me on my cell, and as I was talking, I asked Mom if she had any messages for her sweet doctor. She said, knowing the doc had sent her to the hospital, "Yeah, tell her I hate her." We all got a good laugh out of that.

There is some chance she will get out of there later today. Will all depend on sodium level in blood.

  5. Hi PP,

Several wonderful and generous companies have done this for Best Things in Beauty readers in the past. We've had GWPs and drawings. It's all fun.

  7. Ah, Space NK, I remember when the first one opened in Seven Dials, London. It was where most of my money went as a student, not food, Nars, always the Nars.

  8. Charlestongirl, I have not been there yet, but now I'm dying to check it out! That is one store I am looking forward to experiencing, no matter what the SAs are like.
