I rolled the dice and ordered Bed of Roses from Sephora. I was in the mood that day for spring. Sure to promise, this lightweight, velvety smooth powder blush imparts a luminous natural-looking blushed effect.
Achieve the look of a naturally flushed cheek. The light and ultra-fine texture of this blush delivers a sheer veil of radiant luminosity with a velvet finish and stays color-true all day. The sleek compact easily slips into your purse and includes a travel brush for easy application.
I was delighted when my Blush Extraordinaire arrived. The color is much prettier than Sephora shows (see the photo at the top of this feature). The compact has the feel in the hand of an Edward Bess blush, and, even better, the performance of the blush is top-notch. I took swatch photos in full sunlight last week, and I'll show them to you without further ado.
I swatched heavily at the top of my arm with a sponge-tipped applicator. Then I took a dense blending brush and applied the larger swatch below. as you can see, the color is a beautiful rose. It's perfectly buildable, so you can have light rose or bright rose - it's all in your application technique.
We can find Edward Bess makeup, including this new Blush Extraordinaire, at Bergdorf Gooodman, a few Neiman Marcus locations, and Sephora.

It looks like a beautiful shade and formula. I've only tried the stick concealer by this brand. I'm heading to the Sephora site now. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou've got me hooked on Edward Bess (and could there be a more beautiful man around? And he sounds so sweet. Did you ever see the STUNNING pic of Edward, his sisters and his Mom all in white shirts and his red lipstick?)
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely be checking this out. I could use a good peach.
Oooooooo. . . ! What a clear and vibrant rose. I have roses that color out in my garden and in a few weeks they'll be blooming. How could I possibly resist a blush reminiscent of one of my favorite roses? I've owned all of Edward's previous powdered blush shades and have been eagerly awaiting new colors. Blush Imperial was an incredibly smooth blush with a very soft, satin-matte glow. Now that I've read four positive reviews of his new Blush Extraordinaire, I'm not waiting until I drive to Beverly Hills to see them in person. I'm going on-line right now to order Bed of Roses :-)
