Giorgio Armani Beauty Flash Lacquer - Getting Closer

This morning, the e-mail came from Giorgio Armani. Flash Lacquer, Armani's latest generation of lip gloss, has premiered. The only problem is that when you go to the Web site, there is a Notify Me button.

Flash Lacquer is said to provide the highest reflection ever from a lip gloss - even after blotting. The shape and shine technology causes light to reflect off of every point of the lips for a pure color pop. As I mentioned in the Coming Attraction, there will be three finishes. They are not all shown on the Giorgio Armani Web site - yet.

There will be 12 Pure Attitude Lacquers. From candy corals to neon pinks, from the perfect red to the most glowing beiges, self-sufficient colors are blended in a pearl-free base strong color that brings attitude. The pure finish ensures elegance. The shades are 100, 106, 107, 300, 301, 400, 519, 520, 521, 522, 523, and 524.

There will be 12 Pearly Japanese Enamels. From oriental plums to cherry blossom rose, from spring corals to precious light wood hues, pretty and fragile colors fuse with a high proportion of micronized pearls. Kimono-balanced shades bring tenderness and pearly finishes ensure sophistication. The shades are 102, 103, 200, 302, 303, 500, 501, 503, 525, 526, 527, and 600.

There will be 12 Sparkling Midnight Shimmers. From madre perla to gold carat beiges, from shimmering red plums to black pearls, strong rich colors blend with luminescent pearls. Precious stone colors bring timeless style and multifaceted reflections ensure a daring statement. The shades are 108, 109, 202, 406, 505, 528, 529, 601, 607, 608, 700, and 701.

It's only a matter of time, and I can't wait. I'm going to to on local scouting trip today. If I can't find them here, I will pre-order at Armani's Web site. This is exciting.

  1. Hi CG, I love that GA categorizes these glosses in terms of shimmer particle, from none, to what sounds like to be pearl/micro shimmer, to shimmer/glitter. Thanks for this news, excited to try!

  2. Hi Charleston Girl, I've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of these at my local NM and my Neiman Marcus SA indicated these shipped on the 15th of March and is expecting these to arrive at anytime (I'm in the Tampa Bay area). I'm dying for the shimmers! I'll let you know:) Charlotte M.

  4. Wow! These glosses have a ton of color options, and like Claire I also liked how they classified them by different finishes/textures (that is one thing that bugs me, when a brand or retailer doesn't have a way to help the customer differentiate between a non-sparkle creme finish or options that have more shimmer and sparkle). I went to the Armani site, and I will be interested to see what shade #701 looks like, as from the picture it looks like a graphite or pewter color, and I've never seen that with a lip gloss before (#700 looks almost like a steel color to me, so it'll be interesting to see how the different shades translate on skin or lips, versus what is pictured). Thanks for sharing! :-)

P.S. I didn't see the "notify me" button, just the "add to cart" button. :-)

  5. Hi CG! I'm a long-time fan but first time commenter.

W have had these for weeks in Canada. I have many Gloss d'Armani so I've only purchased one of the Flash Lacquers - #108 which is a gorgeous sparkly gold.

For those interested in #700 and 701: 700 is clear with sparkles which is great since there is nothing like that currently; and 701 is navy blue and can be used to enhance your lipstick colour.

The finish is beautiful on these, but otherwise I don't notice anything different from the Gloss d'Armani.

CG, do you know if these are replacing Gloss d'Armani or an addition?
