I have been "sitting on" Guerlain's Summer 2016 Collection press release until I got the go-ahead to share it with you. Now that Guerlain's Summer 2016 Collection is scheduled to ship to stores next week, I can show you what's in store for your summer. Start saving your money!

This mesmerizing palette features colors that capture the sun’s intensity to illuminate skin with dazzling radiance. This bronzer and blush rolled into one is available in one universal harmony of pink, coral, and gold, married to add a fresh touch of color to your skin. The emblematic Guerlain double "G" logo is situated in the heart of the compact, surrounded by intertwining gold sailing ropes, is as beautiful to look at as it is to use. This looks like must-have to me. Who am I fooling? I should just admit that I want the entire collection.

TERRACOTTA L’EAU HÂLÉE ($54) is a cooling bronzing water for the face. It washes off with soap and water and is non-transferable. It is designed to help us achieve a natural-looking, flawless tan for the face. With this "water," a healthy tan look is just a drop away with this silky-smooth, cooling bronzing water. The ultra-comfortable second-skin texture will delight the skin, but it’s the versatility and the impeccable results that will keep her loyal to L’Eau Hâlée. Guerlain Terracotta Summer 2014 Collection

I showed you Joli Teinte Beautifying Foundation from Guerlain's Summer 2014 Terracotta Collection. There is more, though, and you must go shopping prepared!

Included in the collection are a Terracotta Brush, Terracotta Sunless, and a limited-edition Terracotta After Sun Cream. Let's start with the Terracotta Brush ($42), which you can see on my photo of the display. It's at bottom left.

I had to try the new 01 Nude shade, so I was thrilled when I saw it at Neiman Marcus. 
When I tried it in the store, I was impressed. The color was perfect. Since I purchased it, I have worn (and examined) it indoors and out, and I'm stunned at how perfect the shade is for pale faces.

I consider Terracotta Skin a tinted moisturizer that offers light coverage. When you look at my swatch photos, you will see a teeny tiny cut on my arm that is visible through the blended product. It is sheer.

What thrills me about Terracotta Skin is that it's a "bronzing tinted moisturizer" that doesn't look like mud on my skin. I'll be wearing it on all of those spring, summer, and autumn days when I want some color, but don't want to look like John Boehner.

I took my swatch photos in full sun after applying a small amount of the product to my arm and blending it with my finger. You may wonder why I bothered with photos. I wanted you to see the subtle warmth and color it adds to my skin. No mud, no fake look - just a pretty tint.

Crazy to try this photography sleight of hand with such a sheer tint. I can see it. I hope you can too. Focus on how nice and gentle this tint appears on my pale skin. No one will look at me and think fake. It looks natural.

I love this little, wondrous tube! The gurus at Guerlain were on top of their game when they realized how many of us pale faces would love this product with a lighter shades. Like a contented cat, I'm purring.

Guerlain Terracotta Sun in the City Golden Glimmer Powder "A Sweep of Sunlight"

New Guerlain displays always leave me gasping. It's a wonder I could speak coherently when I saw Guerlain Terracotta Sun in the City at Neiman Marcus. I did manage to blurt out the pieces I wanted to take home with me. Golden Glimmer Powder "A Sweep of Sunlight" ($70) was my first selection.

See your tan in a new light, Terracotta Light

The colors on the new display - some new and some repromoted - will make you a bronzed goddess for summer. I wanted to show you the Golden Glimmer Powder first because I suspect it will sell out quickly.

The first thing you should know about this amazing golden highlighter is that it's huge. Four inches in diameter, this compact provides plenty of golden powder to make your face and décolleté glow.

It's almost too pretty to use, with the beautiful ribbon pattern and dual textures. If you look at my photo above carefully, you'll see that there is also a wave in the surface of the powder. This compact is close to kinetic.

Naturally, I swatched A Sweep of Sunlight. It wasn't as easy as I thought it might be. I applied the powder heavily at the top of my arm with a sponge-tipped applicator, and I used a dense blush brush for the larger application below. Because Golden Glimmer Powder is intended to be a highlighter, I had to apply many layers to get enough color for photos.

A Sweep of Sunlight is gold, but on my skin, the gold shows me different tones in daylight and evening light. In full sun, the gold has an antique look. In this evening's indoor light, it picks up the colors of its surroundings. What a way to shine! It's an elegant shine. For some reason, it reminds me of old money. If I buff it down, it develops a gleam, but the shine never disappears. Hello sunshine!

Wear this powder as a highlighter, blend it with your bronzer, use it on the high points of your face. Draw attention to your neckline. Be prepared to dazzle.

I tried to get a photo that would show you a light application - read that as normal. I had to back off my arm to get two large swatches in the frame. The top swatch is the one you saw above, and the bottom swatch is applied with a brush, approximately the way I'd apply A Sweep of Sunlight "in real life." If you see the glow at the bottom of my arm, I succeeded.

I've had my eyes on the red carpet as I wrote this feature, and the show is about to start. I'm wondering if any of the celebrities who look so glamorous tonight are wearing A Sweep of Sunlight. It would be the perfect occasion.
