Skyn Iceland Glacial Face Wash with Biospheric Complex ($30) is billed as a creamy, foaming cleanser that detoxifies, decongests, and purifies chronically stressed skin. Anything that would soothe stressed skin sounded good to me (we all think our skin is stressed, right?).
Although this very refreshing face wash is supposed to "purify without stripping" skin of its natural moisture, I sure felt a little too squeaky clean after I used it. There wasn't a trace of moisture left on the surface of my face. So, perhaps it's not the best product for daily use for those with dry skin. On the other hand, if I were feeling really "grody," it would be the perfect antidote.
What's nice about it? The pump container! Additionally, it is free of many of the usual nasty chemical suspects, such as parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates, and triclosan.
A little goes a long way and creates a nice, refreshing creamy foam on the face - it feels good. I would recommend this face cleanser to anyone whose skin is oily, normal, or even combination. For us dry types, there are better choices.
