Vaseline Sheer Infusion - Moisture Redefined

A drugstore powerhouse, Vaseline launches a new moisturizer this month. Vaseline Sheer Infusion with Stratys-3 uses a patent-protected formula of three ingredients to infuse and suspend moisture across all layers of the skin.

The Sheer Infusion body moisturizer will be available in three blends: Botanical Blend, Vitamin Burst, and Mineral Renewal. WWD quoted Srini Sripada, marketing director of Unilever Skin Care, as saying, “It is the biggest breakthrough in body lotion in 10 years.” Perhaps that's marketing hype, but it sure sounds worth trying, particularly given the price: $6.25 for a 6.8 oz bottle and $8.99 for a 13.5 oz pump. I'll be trying the pump.

There are coupons available on the Vaseline Web site. There is also a video on the product at the site. Sheer Infusion will be available at CVS and other drugstores. I'm betting on introductory sales.

I'm going to try one of these! I've always liked the Vaseline brand moisturizers...I have insanely dry skin and mild eczema in the cold weather, and they've always helped to soothe it.

Hi Emma! Nice to hear from you. I see that CVS online has Sheer Infusion (on sale, of course), so I will head over to my local CVS today to try to find it. I also have "insanely dry" skin, so I can never have too many body moisturizers.

Have you ever tried Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream for the eczema? I found it when the prescription product I was using was declared to be a carcinogen (arghh). The Gentle Naturals product has aloe vera, calendula, jojoba, and vitamins A, D, and E. It works. It's pretty thick, but spreads fairly easily. I seem to get eczema on my chest (right below my neck) - probably from stress - and the product works well. It's a bit hard to find; I found it at Eckerd's (loved them), but they were bought out by Rite Aid (don't love them). Since that time, I haven't checked to see if they still have it. It's definitely worth looking for.

Also, remember AmLactin, a fabulous moisturizer that gets to the root of dry skin symptoms. It's at Costco and all the drugstores.

Take care!

Emma, I got Vaseline Sheer Infustion at CVS today! I will test and blog in the next few days. I got Botanical Blend, which has a pleasing fragrance. I also liked Herbal. I think the Vitamin scent(citrus smell)had patchouli in it - I really didn't like it. Patchouli is big in men's and women's fragrances, and they are marketing the Vaseline product for both sexes. I did a little research, but can't find the fragrance blends identified by ingredients. May have to call the company.
