Shanghaijava Collection - Lilas Spiritual Crazystick

A box from b~glowing came last week, and nestled within was a perfect antidote to winter. Lilas Spiritual Crazystick from the Shanghaijava Collection by Crazylibellule & The Poppies ($18) is a solid perfume that screams spring. I had no idea how much I would need that touch of spring this week!

The top note is lilac. Although b~glowing says there is clove in the top note, I really despise clove and don't smell it at all. The heart notes are lilac and lily of the valley, and the base notes are lilac and vanilla. In other words, this fragrance is all about lilacs - from the blue-lavender box to the scent itself, it's a heavenly lilac trip. When I wear it, I feel the euphoria of standing beneath an old-fashioned lilac tree, enveloped by the beautiful flowers and fragrance.

You can dab this solid twist-up perfume anywhere you want. I prefer to put it where I can smell it - on my neck, chest, and wrists.

Imported from Paris, the delightful solid perfume scents from Crazylibellule & The Poppies are five grams of pure delight! Wear one or several to create your own blend (a la Jo Malone) or add one to your favorite perfume for a subtle twist on the familiar.

As I sit here at my computer, inhaling lilac while I listen to a neighbor chiseling the ice on his brick walk, I have visions of spring and new life. Maybe there is something to the word "spiritual" in the name!

You can purchase the Crazylibellule & The Poppies solid perfumes at b~glowing and Amazon.

i never tried solid perfumes because i wasnt sure of the lasting power and the strength of the fragrance. How long did it last on you?

I'm testing it now, Anna. I'll let you know. If my memory is good, I'd say about four hours. It's so portable, though, it's easy to pick up and go for a mid-day touch-up.

The lilac faded at 3.5 hours on me, but was clearly lilac until right before that. Not bad (lots of fragrances only have four hours on me), but not as lasting as a perfume oil.

I would love to keep one of these in my desk at work. Re-application would be easy. I may have to order another one. The price is right.

My 2 favorite flowers in the entire world are lilacs and lily of the valley. I love them both and look forward springtime and buying them at Central Market here in Houston. I feel like I can almost smell them now...as I type!
I will have to give this a try.

You sure have had a rough time of it in your area with ALL of the snow! What a storm and not such a great time to hit. Hope you were able to finish up your shopping and that things are getting back to normal.

Thanks again for a great post. I really enjoy rading about the wonderful beauty items you review!

Thank you, Lisa! I received a handmade, incredible Lily of the Valley perfume oil from a friend at work, and I'll be writing it up. It lasts "forever," and it's scrumptious.

I am taking today off from work to get my last shopping done - alongside a zillion people, I suspect. The snow storm was the worst! There are still many people who can't get out of their driveways, so I guess I should feel lucky that I was not marooned for more than a few days.

The Commonwealth of Virginia ought to be embarrassed at its pitiful response to the storm. I learned yesterday that VDOT's goal was to clear one lane in all subdivisions by tonight. That's four days after the snow stopped! There won't be anyone to "blame" since the current administration is leaving next week.

Note to all,

A comment was deleted because it was in characters I couldn't read. Possibly Asian - not sure.

To the writer, I'm sorry I had to do that. It might have been very nice, but I had no way to evaluate that.

i guess i am more of a citrus and fruit girl (sometimes gourmand, when the weather is cold)- and those types of scents dont last too long even with regular perfumes... i do like this as a gift idea for someone who flies often though :)
