I've been using this as my daily go-to blush ever since purchasing it because of its versatility. Depending on the type of brush I use, I get more or less pigment and so the effect can be quite different. I typically swirl my brush through both colors, tap off any excess, and then lightly swirl it near my cheekbones. Because apples eventually fall from the tree, we older ladies no longer have "apples" where you younger gals do and so a slightly higher placement is much more flattering. Both colors combined produce a soft, glowing (thanks to pearl rather than glitter) warm rose that is similar to my natural flush and so "Smile" is perfect for me. Once applied, it lasts all day. I also tried using just the pink alone which produces a more luminous effect. As you recall, Charlestongirl said Marcus used it on her more like a highlighter and I can easily see why. It's soft, luminous pink creates a gentle lifted look to the face much as you'd expect from a highlighter applied to the cheekbones. As for the darker coral pink, I don't use that alone as it is too dark on me. That's OK because I didn't buy this as a "twofer". I bought it for the way the colors combined. That the lighter pink can also be worn alone is a bonus :-) I've read some comments on other blogs that the imprinted SMILE was kind of silly. While I don't think it enhances the product's appearance in the pan, it certainly doesn't impair the performance of the blush or detract from the beauty of the product when applied. And, smile is exactly what I do when I wear this cheerful new blush.
Aww I like that it has SMILE imprinted on it, it's cheerful and I do smile when I see it. Now I actually have to buy one because you and Eileen have convinced me.

I think you'll really like Smile. It's one of those warm pinks that Guerlain does so well for spring. Luminous without being shimmery, it gives the proverbial (cringing as I type this) lit-from-within look. We've got to come up with another expression so we can consign l-f-w to the overworked cliché bin along with haul and curated. LOL It's a lovely blush, Evelyn, whether you like something delicate or mor vibrant, Smile can do it :-)
