TATCHA Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate

TATCHA shipped this gift to me months ago, and I have used it ever since. As I used the last of Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate ($110), I realized I had never featured it here. I was too busy using it.

Here is what TATCHA has to say about it...
An ultra-concentrated form of our widely-loved Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, this hydrating, gel-like treatment visibly renews skin to a youthful glow in one night's use. Ideal as an overnight recovery treatment, Okinawa Red Algae and seven rich botanical extracts combine to restore hydration, refine texture, and visibly plump fine lines. A light daytime touch adds an extra-lush glow.

All true! The first night I used this concentrated serum - more like a gel than a cream or liquid - I found it to be like jelly as I used its gold scoop to remove it from the pot. You really need that scoop because it picks up the perfect amount for your face and neck. If you stick your finger in the pot, the serum concentrate doesn't want to adhere to it properly, and you either draw too much or too little out of the container. The only acceptable substitute for the scoop is a plastic scoop that you can purchase by the dozen in beauty supply stores. TATCHA's scoop is genius, and the little knot that holds it to the top of the jar (to keep it from being misplaced) in invaluable.

I use Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate almost every night after cleansing. It absorbs very quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. The miracle happens overnight, when the product goes to work. I awaken to skin that appears hydrated, plumped, and lineless. What more could we want? I call it my miracle serum. Even after a really bad day, it restores my skin overnight.

If you want to see the long collection of ingredients, pop over to the list at TATCHA. It tells us what's in this genius product and what's not. I am surprised it hasn't taken the world by storm. Use it, and you will understand why. For what I consider a remarkably low price, when compared to other luxury line's top-notch products, it's a steal.

Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate was designed for all skin types; it is non-comedogenic, non-irritating, and non-sensitizing; and it was dermatologist tested.

TATCHA offers free shipping (and returns) and samples on its Web site. I'm a believer.

This is unequivocablly the most outstanding product I have ever used for infusing my skin with moisture and for calming the irritation caused by dehydration. On my dry skin, it works better than any of the other hyularonic acid serums that I've tried in the past. I use two small spoonfuls (the little spoon comes with the serum); one for the face and one for the neck and upper chest. It instantly bathes the skin in moisture but goes on to improve the condition of the skin over time because it also contains the skin-nurturing ingredients (like red algae) that have made Tatcha a standout in the anti-aging field. When I originally ordered this from Tatcha, customer service very kindly sent me a travel size of their soothing silky moisturizer to use over the serum along with the directions to use morning and night until my skin had regained its balance. I followed their directions and my skin responded like a dream. Using it that frequently would not be necessary for the vast majority of you, but I have bone dry, sensitive skin (goes with the aging territory) and my skin becomes dehydrated very easily. Because keeping the skin calm and well moisturized is basic to having skin that looks smooth and luminous, this gel serum has now become my nighttime essential. I also use it in the morning around my eyes and lips and all-over if the weather is dry. It does not interfere with my other skin care products or with my makeup. It's been a real game changer for me.

I'm always hesitant to recommend skin care because there is so much variation in skin types and in environmental factors affecting the condition of our skin. What might be HG status for me can easily be a bust for someone else. I gladly make an exception, though, for this unique gel serum. For anyone who is concerned about dry skin, I'd recommend purchasing the travel size from Tatcha ($30) or, if you are a fan of Dewy Mist, just take the plunge and order the full size ($110). I bought my first jar from Tatcha and the second jar from Sephora when they had the 15% VIBRouge promotion. During their 20% F&F event, I think I'll buy enough to bathe in! LOL

It's a good thing you posted this because...I have this tucked in my storage with facial masks etc. I'm thinking after reading this that my mother might appreciate it even more than me as her skin is drier, the trick would be to get her to use it regularly since she's never been one to focus on skin and beauty products. I really love Tatcha products, I'll have to convince her to use them too.

I have been looking at this product on Tatcha's website, and wondered if it really does what it says. After reading your post and Eileen's, I am totally convinced it is just what my dry skin needs! Thank you for posting this CG, and thank you Eileen for your endorsement!

Hi Sandra,

You can always buy the trial size to see how it works. Unlike some other brands, Tatcha's prices for travel/trial sizes is very reasonable. Remember, even though this is gelatinous, treat it exactly as you would a serum and apply your moisturizer over it. Good luck!
