Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks: Better than Ever

You may have noticed that Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks ($24) disappeared from the Bobbi Brown Web site a few months ago. It's back, better than ever. The best-selling, multitasking cream color is now packaged in a mirrored flip-top compact that's much more convenient.

Blend any of the ten shades on the apples of your cheeks for a just-pinched look. Blot it on your lips for a soft, stained finish. For drier skins, be sure to moisturize first so that it blends effortlessly.

When you see this display at your favorite Bobbi Brown counter, make sure to stop and play. I'll bet your love for Pot Rouge will be refreshed. See if you can come home without a new one. I couldn't. With the mirror in the compact, I'm now carrying Blushed Rose in my handbag.

I wear my pot rouge a lot. I love the creamy texture. I didn't know they changed the packaging. That seems a lot more convenient. Curious if the formulation is the same and the amount in the container comparable to the old one. How does it seem to you?

I haven't tried these out yet, will you be swatching the one you bought?

so - the amount is less than half of the old container . . . . at the same price.

I have always wanted to try these Pot Rouges and now that I am not so weary of cream blushes (and the added bonus that they have been repackaged with mirror), I might have to give these a try! Have you ever tried the MAC Cremeblend blushes, Charleston Girl? Just wondering how the texture compares to the Bobbi Brown...thanks!!

Hi So,

The formulation is the same, just new packaging. The old package held .38 ounce. Now it's .13, so much less product.

Yep, Adriana, sure hope to.

Hi MamaVal,

I love them too. I needed to restrain myself this weekend. Even though they are smaller, I never finished a whole pot anyhow.

Hi Anonymous, you are correct.

Hi Yesplease,

I have tried M·A·C Cremeblend Blushes. I like Bobbi's better, but without going back and doing side-by-side comparisons, my impression isn't much better than a random perception. I know I like the Bobbi Brown colors better than the M·A·C colors I've purchased.

Hi CG,

Good timing! I just bought one of these in Pale Pink. It's my first BB product. I love a cream blush, and this shade doesn't go peach on me like so many others.

Rosemary, Pale Pink may be the next one I buy. I need to do an inventory and make sure I don't have eight of the old ones. :)

I love these colors, and have not tried them. Powder pink looks great, beautiful! Using the same product for cheeks and lips is awesome. Thanks for this review!

Jessica, MUAs love them because they can be used so successfully on lips and cheeks - and for some skin tones, eyelids too. :)

I'm so sorry to hear that, Mahwish! I use Crème de la Mer on my burns. If you don't have it, try aloe vera.

Thanks, Zelle. The two-for nature makes them especially nice as carry-alongs. Now that they have a mirror, even better.
