Le Métier de Beauté Gravité Kaleidoscope Eye Kit - Swatched

I received my Gravité Kaleidoscope Eye Kit GWP over a week ago, but it was only this weekend when I had an opportunity to get swatch photos.

First, let's take a look at the "real thing" below at my house. My photos were taken in full, late-morning sunshine.

You can see that the colors are lighter and actually more attractive than they appeared in Le Métier de Beauté's photo.

I swatched from top to bottom on my arm. Sorry about the Band-Aid I had to cut away for the photos. I barely scraped my arm on the edge of a cardboard box while I was taking out the trash and recycing Friday, and I ended up with a nasty and deep cut on my arm.

I love all of the colors - even the eggplant one. The copper at the top is a gorgeous, deep rose gold. that's the way I see it.  The orange may look shocking, but when blended with the other shades, it's magnificent.

The green is gorgeous. It's like an olive-grey blend, unlike other colors I can identify at the moment. My camera has trouble with greens. I assure you, it's more green that it appears in my photos. The eggplant is extremely wearable as a liner for me. Those with darker coloring will find it more versatile.

What a gift with purchase! It's still showing on Le Métier de Beauté's Web site, but it does not appear to be available as a GWP anymore. If you are still interested, you should ask.

Hi CG,

LMdB is one of my favorite makeup lines and I get just about every new product they release but I did pass on the opportunity to get this kaleidoscope. It looks lovely though. I'll bet the orange really brings out the blue in your eyes.

Chantecaille is my other favorite makeup line and I collect their palettes too. I was surfing the internet last night and found a picture of the new Spring 2014 palette here
http://www.getthegloss.com/news/chantecaille-launches-spring-2014-save-the-bees-collection

It's all about bees. Be still my beating heart - there is a gold highlighter included in the palette. It is gorgeous. Paired with two new rose colored lip chics and a strawberry pink brilliant lip gloss (my favorite formula of their two lip gloss formulas) and I really have something to look forward to in January. Can't wait!

I made a couple of makeup discoveries this week one from my stash and one from Sephora. I was looking through my lipstick drawer and I found Tom Ford's Indian Rose. I put it on and thought why am I not wearing this. It is a perfect match for my lips. I've been wearing it all week. My new discovery was NARS Day Dream blush. I have not bought anything NARS in the longest time but when I saw this on the display I had to give it a try. It is a perfect pinky peachy (more peach than pink) blush that looks beautiful on fair skin like mine applied with a light hand. It looks more Spring than Winter to me but that won't stop me from wearing it now.

My other beauty product discovery for the week was Aesop volumizing shampoo and conditioner. A volumizing shampoo that actually volumizes! Love it!

Happy long weekend everyone!

I really love the green and the rose gold. Such gorgeous colors in the sunlight! And on eyes, I'm sure.

I simply cant decide which of the four colours I like more. They are all gorgeous. The golden orange one looks similar to a Lancome shadow I have but the other three seem very unique. And this was a GWP! Wish I was in USA!!! ;)

I adore LmDB shadows, this Kaleidoscope set looks beautiful, especially the Green and the Eggplant shades, as someone with Olive skin, this will play beautifully on my skin. Must give it a look at counter.
