You will remember that our new Friday Forum is devoted to what you have to say about anything related to beauty. Are you using a fabulous product and want to sing its praises? Tell us about it! Did you find a beauty product disappointing? Tell us why! Do you have questions others might be able to answer? Ask! Want to talk about a celebrity miscue? Go for it! We will use the comments for what I hope will be a fun and helpful exchange of information.
I had fun last week, so on we go! Because this is totally open-ended, I won't provide a topic or ask you a question to kick off the conversation. I do have some "beauty bits" to share this weekend, but I'll put them in the comments.
The microphone is yours!

OK, girl...tell it like it is. What do you think of the new breast cancer screening guidelines?
Oh my goodness. I was sitting here reading e-mail when your comment came through. Sure, I have an opinion. This is my OPINION only. It should not be construed as medical advice. Only a physician can provide that.
First, I understand data-based practices, and the panel that recommended a change in guidelines may be onto something. There needs to be a wider discourse, and possibly more study, before insurance companies stop paying for annual mammograms based on these guidelines.
I don't think we should be willing to accept preventable deaths because they are statistically unlikely. I would have fallen into the high-risk category for which they say you do need an annual mammogram after the age of 40. I had a benign tumor removed around age 30, so I have had countless mammograms since - sometimes repeat mammograms so that they could "see better" or take a second look. Sure, the first few times were nerve-wracking, but so what!
Three of my friends died at a young age from breast cancer, and if those deaths could have been prevented, then the cost of the procedure would have been worth its weight in gold.
What really bothers me about the new guidelines is that they make a big deal about unnecessary anxiety from false positives, like women are a bunch of fragile ninnies who need to be protected from short-term anxiety. I would rather worry for two weeks and learn that I am fine, than die of undiagnosed breast cancer.
I hope the insurance companies don't try to weasel out of paying for mammograms for women who want to get them.
HelloGorgeous.net is a store from which I often buy hair care products. They send products quickly and well-packed. This weekend, you can save an extra 10% over their sale prices by using the code HELLO10. If you order, before you check out, type "samples" into the search box, and you will find an assortment of samples from which you can select. For some reason, you aren't prompted for them in the checkout wizard.
Check the return policy in advance if you aren't sure about your purchase.
I ordered some Philip B products. Good prices!
Has anyone tried Arbonne products? I was invited to an Arbonne party recently.
Any Perricone fans out there? Anyone wishing to try Cold Plasma (with a special offer)? Perricone (online) is having Friends & Family from November 22-25. During this four-day event, you will receive a 25% discount by entering the code FRIENDS at checkout.
Just go to http://www.perriconemd.com.
Julie, either you are up very early (like me), or you are one of my European readers. Either way, welcome!
Timely question! I just received a nice selection of Arbonne samples from Jaime Appenzeller, but the only one I have tried so far is a nice, rich, hand cream. I will be trying all of them over the next few weeks, and I will let you know.
In the meantime, any readers care to weigh in?
I also only tried Arbonne samples, so I cannot say much about the effects of the moisturizers. One product I really liked was a warming pore cleanser - not sure what the exact name is- it really cleans your pores and blackheads well!
