Chanel Collection Révélation Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer for Spring/Summer 2013 Has Arrived!

Not long after I returned from Saks Chevy Chase today - with swatch photos - I got an e-mail from Chanel that showing the availability of the Collection Révélation, a fresh palette of Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimers ($29.50). I took swatch photos of all the new, limited-edition shades, with the exception of the clear Ocean Shimmer.

I will post the swatches either tonight or tomorrow - as soon as I have time - so stop back before you order. Hint: they are pigmented and pretty.

Ocean shimmer is the one I am the most interested in :( Would love to see its swatch first, before buying.

Hi Veronica,

A week or so back, one of Charlestongirl's readers said her Chanel MA had been told the color the model is wearing is Rose Sauvage. That looks right per the pictures of RS that've seen.

hi!! that was me! the chanel sales associate said that the model, sigrid is wearing rose sauvage. do you remember last year's gloss collection...it arrived around valentine's day....the model had a gloss in her mouth....it was the shade amour. but, there was a video and information on chanel.com about exactly what she was wearing. she was wearing a lip pencil with amour. not sure why there is not a video with information, maybe it's too early? anyway, i found rose sauvage to be too sheer and not enough "oomph" for me. although, it's very pretty. i used one of the other new shades daydream on top of rose sauvage. there was a new pink lipliner that came with this year's spring collection (can't remember the name) that another sales associate suggested. but, did not say that pencil was on the model, just a suggestion. i returned ocean shimmer. i couldn't deal with color transfer and i didn't want to deal with putting it on the back of my hand. although these glosses are pretty, i wish i didn't purchase them. in my opinion, i suggest please try them on first.i hope i'm not out of line for typing this and not asked to leave this wonderful website but, i'm on facebook and i love to talk about makeup, it's my hobby. please feel free to friend me. my account is under princess wendala. my profile picture is the mon shu girl. xo. wendy p.s. please forgive me if that's not proper etiquette but, i see the same names on here all the time and i'd love to correspond with you!! p.s.s. what do you think about all the hype of les beiges with gisele. i've heard it's a big summer look! i think it's available in europe now but, in august here!! happy holidays everyone!!! p.s.s.s. did i insert hyperlinks?? i'm not computer proficient. terribly sorry if i did!

Hi Anonymous @9:55,

One of the things I think we all love about Charlestongirl's wonderful blog is that it is like chatting with girlfriends about one of our favorite topics--makeup :-) I don't think anyone would think you were speaking out of line for expressing an honest opinion about a product. We're all different and we have different tastes. What is one woman's Holy Grail is another woman's Meh! As long as we're courteous, constructive, and respectful, there is room for all kinds of opinions, don't you think?

Regarding Les Beiges, yes, it is already out in Europe and I've read a few reviews. It seems people either get it and like the healthy outdoor glow or they think it is much ado about nothing. It's definitely not a bronzer type of product, but appears to be instead an ultra fine finishing powder that is meant to give a healthy bit of color to enliven the complexion rather than change it. I guess we'll just have to wait until August to see for ourselves. I noticed that Lisa Eldridge has her video up featuring it. It looks lovely on her fair complexion.

Have a nice weekend :-)

Hi everyone, sorry I didn't get back last night. I was exhausted from a full day of activities (doesn't help when you are dragging a boot cast around with you). I was pooped and went to bed right after 8:00.

Hi Veronica,

I will e-mail the Chanel regional rep and ask. I suspect my readers are right. They usually are.

Thanks, Eileen!

Hi Anonymous/Wendy!

Now why would your comment be inappropriate? It was perfectly fine. As Eileen said last night, we love good chats about makeup.

From now on, we hope to see more of you!

Eileen, somewhere (and I can't remember where), I saw Les Beiges last week. Perhaps it was Lisa E., but I'm not sure.

I've learned that it will hit our shores in due time. I can wait. Without a job (still!), I am looking more and buying less anyhow.

Hi Charlestongirl,

Actually, I'm not holding my breath waiting for Les Beiges. Sweet Sunny (Mostly Sunny) did a lovely review in which she really cleared up any questions about how this powder should be used. But then Lisa E., in her Chanel video, thoroughly confused me by buffing it on like a mineral foundation! LOL I think I'll just have to see and try it. I'm wondering if it is something along the lines of Les Artifices Lumière Beiges that Chanel introduced last autumn. You notice Chanel is scheduled to bring Les Beiges out in the States about the time of the fall collections. Hmmm. . . . I wonder if other items in Les Beiges will be released at that time.
