Multi Color for Lips and Cheeks ($42) is available in two shades: Freesia, the one I purchased online (shown here), and Sweet Pea, a pink that I feared would be too light. I took quite a chance on Freesia, which appears to be coral in the photo above from the Web site. I was totally delighted when I saw the cream color on my skin.
Capturing that first day of spring, can't-wait-to-get-outside feeling, AERIN's limited-edition Spring 2013 Color Collection is inspired by the shades of early spring flowers. Enhanced with AERIN's signature floral infusion, this endlessly-wearable collection washes cheeks, lips, and eyes with the shades of the season, from softly delicate to slightly dramatic. It's beauty made easy, stylish, and effortless - it's the perfect fresh start for Spring.
Spring days grow longer, as does your daily to-do list. Skip a step with one of AERIN's favorite two-in-one essentials. New limited-edition shades are as easy to blend as they are to wear, enhancing any skin tone with a delicate hint of natural color that blooms on lips and cheeks.
I looked at Freesia with trepidation when it arrived, thinking, "This experiment better go well." Imagine how excited I was when I saw this on my skin.
It's a pink-leaning peach with a sheen that will delight anyone. I think it's exquisite. Who would have ever pegged that compact to produce this color?
I took my swatch photos in full sun, while I was freezing (notice my veins trying to deliver blood to keep my arm warm?). I applied the cream color with a sponge-tipped applicator. It applies and blends beautifully.
The appearance? I don't know about you, but I think I think this is a gorgeous sheer peach blush, highlighter, lip tint - and even eye shadow.
Even though I have written it before, never judge a color by the way it looks in the tube, compact, or packaging. AERIN's Freesia made me a believer in AERIN's line. Next time I swing by the counter, I will test everything there.
You can purchase items from AERIN's Spring 2013 Color Collection at the Estée Lauder Web site and at Estée Lauder counters (and online) at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, and at AERIN.com.

Hello Charleston girl, Do you know if this product/ line is available in Macy's/ Lord and Taylor, etc...?
this is absolutely gorgeous!!!
Wow! With that beautiful gold pearl, I'd definitely wear this coral on my eyes--so long as it was safety do so :-) I'm so happy with all the creativity and innovation we are now seeing in cream blush. For so long, cream blushes were primarily an after thought aimed at more mature (old!) women with dry (old!) skin. Consequently, the colors, finishes, longevity, etc. of the creams were often lagging way behind what was being promoted in powder form. Sure, there were some nice ones available, but there was a lack in variety, sophistication, and au courant looks. Perhaps this increased interest in cream blush is because the "Boomers" are getting up there and have money to spend. And, since 60 has been declared the new 40, that means a lot of us oldsters still want to look fashionable and rock a more age appropriate interpretation of the current trends.
They say true beauty never dies. Well, I don't think it has to fade away because of a lack of beauty enhancements, either. I also love the blurring of lines when it comes to formulations: cream to powder, powder that applies like a cream, gel, liquid stain, etc. There is such a wealth of products from which to choose. I guess that will certainly keep all you wonderful blogging ladies busy! :-)
Hi Virginie,
I called PR and learned that AERIN is only available at NM, BG, Saks, and online at EL and AERIN.com. It is not available at Macy's and L&T.
Hi Eileen,
The press says it can be used on the eyes, and I'm testing it. So far, no reactions.
I am thrilled with all the new cream products. I have always loved them - even when I was 40. :)
I cant find anything I like at the Estee Lauder counter........ I wish I could...for example there are so many cheaper brands that have this kind of blush.... even their lipsticks seem to have the same colors .... is Estee Lauder running out of creative ideas ?
oh my goodness that is so much more gorgeous on skin than i thought it would be. i love it so much! expensive, but it's like buying lip and cheek in one, so that's like 20 each. That's a way to justify it right? Gotta see if they sell it in Texas!
Hi Paula,
I have done a 180 on EL. I love their makeup now, after many years of lull. However, as long as you are in a department store, just think! you can counter hop. What fun!
Hi Julia,
NM has it in Texas.
Oh WOW--that gilded sheen really is magnificent! Just looking at it in the compact, I never would have guessed it swatched that beautifully! Definitely need to check out this blush--and line--now!! :D
This seems gorgeous and very wearable. How do you compare it to the Armani blushing fabric?
Hi Becca, I also purchased the floral compact and will put up photos very soon.
Hi LoveMakeup,
This product is a lot creamier than Blushing Fabric. Also it's a multitasker.
I was excited when Aerin's line appeared last year, as I've been a loyal Clinique, Prescriptives and Lauder customer since I first began wearing make up. I was immediately turned off by the fact that while most lines, even ones with long histories of fragranced products, are making most of their make up fragrance free, Aerin's products are highly fragranced. I dont' know why she decided to take her line in a direction that most of the industry has abandoned. I assume that customer preference is behind the swing towards fragrance free make up that Clinique and Prescriptives began, and the make up artist driven lines followed thru with. I am delighted that I can buy make up from almost any line I please without worrying about allergies anymore, it has enabled me to obtain much highter quality products. Enough products, as a matter of fact, that I don't even have to read reviews of the Aerin line, because I know I can't go near it. Hopefully she will mend her ways, because the competition out there is fierce!!
I love Julia's way of thinking...amortize the cost: And if it's a 3 in one, well, then, it's only $14 for each "part" of the multi-use compact!
This looks gorgeous :) x
Sweet Pea is a bright, cheery pink - I've been playing with the Aerin testers all week while at work =)
Just thought you'd might like to know that!! ;)
This is so stunning! That light coral-ly pink is to die for!
Hi Ellen,
I noticed no fragrance in this one. In the floral compact, I got a light whiff of rose. Maybe she has responded already?
MamaVal, you all are a riot, doing cost to value ratios on your makeup. :)
It is, Kate. Now I guess I'll have to check out the pink one I dismissed because of the way it looked in the case.
Joey,
Thanks! I will have to try it now. I was sure it would be too baby pink from its appearance in the compact.
I thought so, Paintedladybeauty!
Hi C-Girl,
Thanks for the great swatches. I am rather intrigued with product. It looks like it would make a great peach blush, but is it sparkly? How will it looks as a blush … does it have to be applied multiple times to get color? Is there a dry down to the sheen? I am not a great one for shinny cheeks. A little bit of the dewy look is okay but I am not a huge fan of it. I wonder if it has enough depth to even work with rosacea cheeks (which are way better due to the new Chantecaille product – I must email you on that!)
Warm Regards,
Joanne
I am ordering right now!! ;-)))))
