Coming Soon: Chantecaille Cheek Crème for Summer 2013

I realized that it has been so long (January) since I showed you Chantecaille Cheek Crèmes ($25) for Summer 2013, I should feature them again. These are cream blushes you will really want to try.

Two new Cheek Crème shades will be introduced in July.  These blushes have a velvety soft cream texture that melts into the skin, transforming into a powder finish for a natural glow-from-within look. They will be sold as refills, which is why you see the colors depicted separately from the color-ready compact above. Playful is a pink coral, and Dashing is a burnt rose. I think I'm going to need both.

Achieve the look of a natural summer flush with Chantecaille’s luxurious Cheek Crème. The velvety, soft cream blush melts into skin, transforming into a soft powder finish for a natural glow. Designed for easy application, the creamy formula glides on smoothly for gentle, buildable color. The compact’s convenient mirror guarantees effortless on-the-go application.

The antioxidant-rich formula is infused with white lily bulb and peach extracts to shield delicate skin from harmful environmental pollutants. Siliconic elastomers in emollient oils deliver a subtle touch of luminousity.

In an effort to be more environmentally responsible, Chantecaille has proudly re-launched all eye and cheek shades for refillable-only packaging, such as the new mirrored Pebble Compact ($11). Its innovative magnetized strip allows you to remove, rerecycle, and replace your favorite Chantecaille shades effortlessly.

These Cheek Crèmes will be available in July at Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Frédéric Fekkai Salons, Neiman Marcus, Space NK, and select Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue locations. They will also be available online at Chantecaille.com and Bliss.com - Nordstrom.com too, perhaps.

How does the texture of these compare to the new by terry summer blushes you featured about a month ago?

I have several of Chantecaille's cream blushes and can say unequivocally that they are the crème de la crème when it comes to this type of formulation. They glide on with all the ease and delicateness you'd expect from a cream and yet they are not heavy, sticky, or oily looking. These lend themselves to finger or brush application. I know a lot of you favor the tap tap tap method, but I use my Chanel #7. My skin is so touch sensitive that if I tapped, it would bring up the color in my cheeks to the point where I wouldn't be able to tell how much blush I was actually getting on :-P But, whatever application you select, these blend out beautifully and give a natural looking radiance--exactly what you'd want your own natural blush to look like. And, bravo to Chantecaille for promoting the refill concept. I've always purchased the eyeshadows as refills and now I can do the same with the cream blushes. Woo-hoo!

Truth be told, it's because I've been waiting to see Chantecaille's new colors that I have not yet ordered any of the Chanel blushes online. I told my wonderful Chanel gal that I definitely wanted to try the new blusher, but I didn't want to duplicate Chantecaille's colors. She told me to take my time and that she'd put Destiny and Revelation aside for me as soon as they come in. She's such a sweetheart <3. She has an excellent eye for color and knows unerringly what will work for my age, my coloring, and my esthetic.

Lisa, I have been waiting patiently since May. They missed the date, but I'm really glad they are still coming!

Eileen,

Based on Gaia's swatches, I should have purchased Destiny, but my NM didn't have it. Oh well.

The Chanel's are long-lasting, as several have noticed.

I can pat, pat, but if I pat too much, I get temporary blotchiness because my skin is so sensitive. I'm with you: a finger to blend or a brush work best.
