Melissa Flagg Mily Perfume Oil

I've been wearing Melissa Flagg's Clementine Perfume for years. I thought it was my secret until I read in WWD's Beauty Biz that it was a Scarlett Johansson favorite. It was only recently that I decided to branch out and try some of Melissa Flagg's other creations. The first new one I ordered was Hazel's Eau de Perfume. I loved that so much I knew I had to try Mily.

One really nice feature of Melissa Flagg's fragrances is that you can order the scents in Eau de Parfum, Perfume Oil, and Solid Perfume. When I went online at Beautyhabit to order Mily, I decided to buy the Perfume Oil. At $28, it's a bargain, and I love the rollerball. I can take it with me without fear of a spill.

Mily Perfume Oil ($28) is everything I imagined from its description - and more. Mily, the Hawaiian name for "beautiful," was inspired by the beautiful, lush, green landscape and constantly blossoming flowers that surround the island of Kauai. It has notes of plumeria and pikake blossoms, along with purple orchid and ginger. The fragrance is tropical - luscious. It's an escape to the islands.

Plumeria (the common name is Frangipani) is a favorite in tropical scents. I find it hard to resist. I can't count the number of Plumeria candles I have purchased to bring the fragrance of the islands into my home. Wearing it is a special treat.

I'm very happy with Mily! You could be too. You can purchase it, as I did, from Beautyhabit, where you can also select the Eau de Parfum ($32) if you want a spray or the Perfume Solid ($16) if you like solids (or want to save a few dollars). I'll use up my rollerball before I buy a second Mily. There's more in store for me.

Melissa Flagg's Web site has little more than a pretty photo (click on each fragrance for its description), some press references, and contact information. Unfortunately (for my wallet), I found some fragrances I didn't know. Now I think I'm going to have to try Stella's Perfume (red currant and lime blossom), Daisies (orange blossoms, jasmine, and orchid)...oh my...all of them! I'm addicted. Not sure where I'm going to get them - a quick online search did not give up a source. This veteran, persistent shopper will find them if they are available!

If you know where I can find the full collection, please let me know. When I find out, I'll let you know.

how is the lasting power on this oil as compared to average perfume spray? i never really got into oils because they always seem to slide right off my skin no matter where i apply. i love your description though, i have been looking for a white tropical flower scent for awhile now.

Hi Anna,

Some perfume oils stay on me forever, much longer than sprays do. This one is "average," meaning I get 4-5 hours from it.

I haven't done the "above the elbow" test to see if I can still detect the scent at the end of a work day. I will try that today.

Anna, it lasted about four hours above my elbow where I wasn't washing my hands constantly. I applied a "few rolls" of the rollerball. I would give it a 5 out of 10 on length of wear. I still adore it!

Hi. Did you find a secondary source for these oils? When it is sold out on BeautyHabit.com I have no other sources :-/
