Saturday Stroll around the Internet

One of the most interesting things I saw on the Internet this morning was a Huffington Post piece on a L'Oreal ad. The question is, "Was L'Oreal up to its usual photo "enhancement" when it prepared this ad featuring the lovely Freida Pinto? They've already airbrushed Julia Roberts' beautiful nose to a blur. Now they may have lightened Pinto's skin. What do you think? You can vote at the Huffington Post or leave a comment here - or both. Was it simply the result of studio lighting? Take a look at her photo below and decide.

In blog land, there were many noteworthy features this week. Here are a few that captured my attention.

Fab over Forty introduced Chanel's newest foundation, Perfection Lumière.
The Non-Blonde told us about her visit to IUNX Perfumes in Paris. Want to truly understand exclusive?
I want my hair to look like Daly Beauty's, so I guess I'll be ordering hair products from Canada.
Product Girl made me want the Bamboo Diffuser from NEST Fragrances.
We don't have a Burberry counter in the DC area, so I'm always glad to see eye shadow shade swatched. This week, I saw three at The Beauty Look Book.
I had a an opportunity to order the NARS silvers for Fashion's Night Out, but passed. I was glad to see them at Café Makeup.
Like your fragrances dark, spicy, and sensual? You should check out Olfactoria's Travels.
Nail polishes come in every shade of nude and brown you can imagine. See two new ones from Dior at Fruity Lashes and Beauty Black Book.

Have fun out there!

Oooh, IUNX. Charlestongirl, I think you'd really like Eau Frappe. It would be right up your alley, I'm almost certain. It's a fluffy, lemon meringue, not too sweet. Remind me to send you a sample in our next haul.

The Burberry's trio of shadows look tempting. Lavender No14 is calling me! Oh no! It's so en vogue, though. Speaking of Burberry, I was sent a generous sample of Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base. It's really quite wonderful. I'm trying to decide how to work with it best. This is certainly an exciting range...and speaking of exclusivity!!

Lovethescents, you are both tempting me with something Gaia says we can't get! How did you get it?

I may have a sample of that Burberry base here too. Is it a packet sample? If so, I'll need to find it. I'm swimming in "stuff" - good stuff - right now. I need to get organized!

Charlestongirl, I have friends across the pond, you know ;-)

Remind me, in case I forget, to send you a sample to try, though.

The sample is a manually-made one. It doesn't come in a packet but in a tiny tub, so it's good for several tries :-)

Are you going for the Burberry shadows? Have you tried any? I must search your blog now...

I have Burberry Trench and Khaki, Lovethescents. I would like to try more, but I'm holding out for a counter. One reader said we might have one at a nearby Nordstrom before too long. That would be nice.

Oh how exciting, Charlestongirl! I bet you'd look fabulosa in that Lavender one. I can see you now :-)

Thank you for the link, Charlestongirl! :)
Gaia's Paris posts are very seductive indeed!
As for Burberry... I love it! The new Lip Mist Sheer lipsticks
are the best of all those new sheer formulas in
my opinion.

Hi Birgit,

I eagerly await each of Gaia's features. :)

Glad to hear you like the Burberry! Where do you get it?

I stocked up on Burberry cosmetics in Milan and London this year. :)
