YSL Beauté Golden Gloss Collection Éclat d'Or Blanc Collection for Holiday 2011 - Sparkling Fuchsia

The YSL Beauté Holiday 2011 Collection has arrived at department stores, and there are some spectacular pieces. Since I'm a Golden Gloss gal, I was thrilled with the latest collection of three shimmering Golden Gloss ($30) shades. The collection, called Éclat d'Or Blanc (White Shimmering Gold) Collection for Holiday 2011, offers three shade choices.

In my first installment, I showed you my first two purchases: Sparkling Silver and Sparkling Wine. I purchased them without testing - and I love them. Once the testers came in, I decided I had to have Sparking Fuchsia too.

I've been wearing YSL's Golden Gloss for years. "Worth its weight in gold," this gorgeous gloss dresses my lips in a sophisticated, high-shine shimmer that’s spectacular. Sparkling 24K gold flecks (0.2%) create a mirror-like effect for guaranteed glamour, while a complex of nourishing oils protects and moisturizes for optimal comfort and hydration. It feels fabulous. Golden gloss is scented with a subtle hint of mango that doesn't bother me at all. I think it tastes good. That's saying a lot since I normally dislike lip colors with an overt fragrance or taste.

Can you see the iridescence of Sparkling Fuchsia? My photos were taken in full sun, and the sun made the many colors shine. While the overall color or effect is a purple pink, the sparkling magnificence makes it a versatile topper for many lip colors. You may think it looks scary on my arm, but wait until you try it on your lips. It's gorgeous.

Wear Sparkling Fuchsia, and your lips will shine - really shine - with multi-toned sparkles. I'm not sure how YSL makes such a smooth, even, hydrating gloss with such magnificent sparkle. I should do some research into how their amazing Golden Gloss shades are actually produced. How does one make gold flecks that are so powerful to the eye, but have no feel on the lips? Everything about Golden Gloss is brilliant!

When I first wrote about the holiday glosses, they had just arrived at Neiman Marcus, where I purchased mine. By now, they should be available at all YSL counters. Surprisingly, I still don't see them on YSL's U.S. Web site.

I do love YSL golden Glosses too! They are lovely to wear and have so amazing results!
I don't know anything about the Dolce and Gabbana products, this make-up brand is not easy to find here (only the clothes are)whereas you seem to have all of them. Anyway from the posts I read, I can do without, LMdB, Laura Mercier, Chantecaille seem to be more "exciting" (do you agree?)

Hi Mybeadifullife!

It is amazingly flattering - on all of us. The gals at Neiman Marcus love wearing it.

Hi Clarisse!

I'm just starting to play with the D&G line. I MUST HAVE more of the Passion Duos. They are absolutely fabulous. The lip glosses? Not as exciting. They are pretty, but they aren't "revolutionary." I like the two I bought, so I'm not sure why I can't get more excited about them. I think it's because the duos blew me away.

I love LMdB, LM, and Chantecaille, but I also love Armani and Chanel. I'm a bad person to ask, since I find all the lines have exciting products. :)

Hi Charlestongirl,

Love the Golden Glosses. I saw in your posts about the YSL Holiday 2011 that there are 3 new Golden Glosses. However, I was reading a beauty blog by a blogger in the UK and she also did a feature on the new Golden Glosses for Holiday 2011, but she mentioned five new shades. Do you happen to know if the other two are European exclusives? Nordstrom only has three listed on its website (the ones you have talked about). If the other two are exclusive to Europe, it would be a shame. One of the ones she featured was White Gold Opal and had this amazing duochrome.

The ones you have featured are lovely, too. I have a couple of Goldren Glosses, and I always forget how lovely they wear.

Kate, I think the Europeans lucked out. I have the U.S. marketing materials, and we only got three. Darn, I'd like to see the other two!

Ooooh this looks wonderful! The colour is incredibly pretty. I have an old MAC gloss that looks similar in colour, but I'm sure the texture is night and day different. I must find this and see if it will make a nice replacement :-)

Hi Lovethescents, you will find the feel and texture so much nicer than the MAC!

Oh my... Sparkling Fuschia is gorgeous! I don't own any golden glosses. I may have to look at this one. Are they comparable to a Chanel Glossimer?
